I'm in Richmond, VA Zip 23233. Cabinet was repainted with oil base black semi-gloss. Has new t-molding, a new reproduction CPO, new buttons and a nice burn free Happ Vision Pro 19" monitor installed. The PCB is really clean as well, you won't find a cleaner example of this game. Asking $450 OBO.

I've seen the side art sold before... too bad it's not 100% complete.
Very nice!

Is this one of the early dynamos? Pre HS1?

It's actually a conversion, used to be a Data East Vigilante. I cut the curved part of the marquee off to fit the straight Strider marquee. Believe it or not the CPO repro that I purchased was printed to fit the Dynamo CP but it fit the DE CP perfectly.

Worst case I will sell the PCB, marquee and bezel separately and keep the cab for another project. We shall see.

Dynamo could have built this cab for DE also... it looks like a similar build style.

Good point! It does look very similar. I bought this game as a kit maybe 6 years ago now and finished the cab back in 2008. I still have a Dynamo CP from the cab that my kit originally came in but it doesn't fit this cab so there are some definite differences.

Was that CP from the strider I sold you years ago?

No I ended up selling that first Strider you sold me :). The CP was from a dedicated Strider I found up in MD. I am still trying to figure out why I didn't drive up there to get that cab. I never could find a Dynamo cab for it, I need to post that up for sale as well.

I probably would have snatched this up if it came up in the past year or two but I'm at the point where I can't really fit any more cabs in my house.

Strider is one of my favorite games, gameplay is cool and the music is awesome.

I've been playing it lately on MAME and can finally beat the level where it flips you upside down, you run down a and make a few jumps on these extending platform spike things then at the end of that section you have to jump up a couple rows of them, it's pretty brutal for someone who has never played the game. I had some people I had over during the weekend try it and they gave up quick, pansies = )

I like a challenge and all the super meat boy I've been playing lately has seriously increased my tolerance for frustrating levels in video games.

I'm pretty surprised you haven't gotten a sale yet at that price.

Believe it or not but I haven't even gotten an inquiry. It really is a bad time to sell a game. I think its a good value, the cabinet was repainted completely, has new parts all over the place and has a fun game inside :) I hate to do it but I am getting ready to sell the kit separate of the cabinet. Maybe if I put a multigame PCB in there it will sell!

BTW I see you are in Mechanicsville, you are very close to me. If you end up selling that Sega Super GT Let me know :)
