I bought 2 sets from Phoenix arcade a long while back and misplaced them. So I ordered some more and just recently found my other roll of art.

I have 2 complete sets of art consisting of 2 sides and the front kick plate. I am offering it to the group for $250 a set including shipping anywhere in the contiguous 48 states. Basically you save on shipping charges. This is obviously high quality like all of Darrin's stuff. Buy both sets and I will knock $25 off the price. That would be $475 total shipped.

Thanks

Yes, interested in trades. Also, found out that Phoenix is selling this for $250 shipped so I guess I have to lower my price by $25 a set. Not trying to steal Darrin's business. Its his product but I don't want it to languish here collecting dust.

I am interested in a set of this art but I do not see a picture on the Phoenix Arcade web site. Do you have a picture of the art you have for sale you could post?

Is it the same as the original art that came on the UR cabinets?

How long has it been sitting rolled? I'd be a bit concerned about how well it will adhere if it's been sitting around too long. Glue does have a lifespan.

After doing a search here on KLOV I found a picture of the Phoenix Arcade art work here in this thread:

It is different from the original artwork. Notice everything is inside the border on the reproduction stuff while the original has a Tie Fighter that breaks to the outside of the border (top tip of cab) as if it is flying off the side of the cabinet.

Does anyone do a reproduction of the original style artwork?

Simply put...no. However, if you look around enough, you'll notice that there were slight variations on some of the artwork...I.e., the front artwork is typically a little more coppery looking than the silver/gray that Darin does. However, the are pics out there showing the silver/grey was on certain cabs...just not as common.

The coppery tint you speak of - are you sure that wasn't yellowing in the art on the original? Much of this stuff changes color, sometimes quite subtle, through the years.

I am almost positive I read that Darrin's SW side art came from the original films and that there were more than one version.

Yes these came from original films and like so many games from Atari, Bally, Williams, Midway that Ive used films for arcade and pins there were multiple versions. Heck Ive seen 12 versions of Addams Family playfields. We are currently working on both versions of Food Fight side art. Gonna make both versions and give people the option.

These were the only version of films for SW upright Scott had and I wasnt gonna pass up the opportunity to make them. I have no issues if someone wants to spend $20k like I did and make the other version.

Some people like to repeatedly bash for their own sake and Ive now added them to my very short list of people I wont do business with.

btw, there is another thread showing the SW flyer and the tie fighter is placed exactly like mine is on the repro art. So maybe my art is proto? I dont know. But it sure looks damn nice!

Thank you for pointing out this art is on the Star Wars Flyer. I had never noticed the flyer machine has different art from the release version. Does anyone own the machine from the flyer or an early run SW with this variation of the artwork installed? Someone may have one and not even know it...
