I have for sale a Spy Hunter UR in Walkersville Maryland (10 minutes North of Frederick). It is in my personal collection, but I no longer play it and the wife tells me I need to make some room for a "play kitchen" for the kids. I bought the machine 2 years ago not working and have put a great deal of time into it. I have done the following: rebuilt the power supply, replaced the two giant caps, added a lithium battery conversion kit, recapped the monitor, replaced the steering wheel shroud, replaced the control panel overlay, repainted the cabinet/steering wheel and added new full side art, replaced the t-molding, replaced the ribbon cables, and replaced most of the elect caps on all the circuit boards. It is for sale locally at $700, but will sell it to a fellow KLOVer for $650. It is not in "perfect' condition, but it would definitely look great in any game room out there. Thanks!

wow

dude thats an awesome looking spy hunter..if I wasn't in the middle of paying for current game purchase I would be all over that......although I would trade you a nice playchoice 10 countertop model with 8 games in it and cash.....( u could easily hang on to this space saver...)

Thanks for all the interest so far. I will reply to all the pm's this evening after work.

I never knew there were klov'rs in Walkersville!! I'm out there every day.Pretty sure we have'nt met yet.Maybe I'll see you at the next meet.

I have several PMs about the machine, so let me clarify a few things. I will answer all the PMs later, but just wanted to post this for everyone.

Yes - the game is working 100% (at least the last time I powered it on) and it has a few extras added. I added a universal free play circuit. See link below. (Check out the youtube video in the thread!)

If this is something you don't want - I can easily remove it. Spy Hunter's also have a humming sound that many have complained about (especially if a switcher is added – this one does not, it has the original power supply). The hum can be heard after the Peter Gunn music stops playing. I made a slight MOD to the SSIO board to eliminate this hum/static noise. Again, this is something that can be removed in about 1 minute. The only difference that you will find with this modification installed is that you cannot change the volume of the Peter Gunn music with the volume control knob located in the coin door. You have to use a pot that was added to the SSIO board. I just set the music level once and left it that way.

Some have also asked what "not perfect" means? I mean it is still over 30 years old. It does have a few nicks and minor blemishes that you can see when inspecting up close.

Is that side art new? It looks like it's in perfect condition.

Maybe - I just have not been able to make it in the past, but I will try for the next one. Are there any plans for one soon??

Yes it is new - I stripped the sides and replaced.

Where did you get the Control Panel Overlay?
