FS: Splatterhouse and Willow

Friday afternoon bump

If someone wants to buy both of these, I will give a really good discount.

You guys need to stop arguing over who would buy it first if it was local and start trying to find the most cost efficient way to get it picked up and shipped to you :)

lol this is so true, maybe a bunch of us could pool our money and argue over who's house it gets to stay in too :D

Someone buy this so we can stop crying over spilled milk.

I had stopped actively selling these because I thought I could find the room for them. But as of now one is in out garage and one is in the living room. So I am going to try and sell them again :) These are super nice games and they need a good home/homes. Again, if someone wants both of them, I'll accept a reasonable offer.

Bump for a great game!

Still sad to see you're selling Willow, but I understand since it probably gets little play. It's one of those games that has nostalgic value but not very good replay value. Though, it's one of my favorite CPS1 games. I recently picked up a kit myself and think it looks great next to SFII.

Not to get too off topic, but do you know if the 1P/2P buttons were black or that's just what you decided to go with? Not sure if there's a "right" way to do it since it was only a kit. I was going to go with white 1P/2P buttons since the artwork is a lighter palette.

I checked in the manual, and there are no instuctions as to which color buttons to use, only the layout.

I've had a local KLOVer show some interest in Splatterhouse, and someone is coming over tonight to look at Willow.

Also, nesjess, did your kit come with sideart?

I was just kidding Ghostnuke, but I wasn't really a fan of the NES version.

Weird how Capcom made their NES versions of arcade games so different. Strider, Bionic Commando, etc.

They felt like entirely different games, but I guess that's not always a bad thing.

Well, yeah they're different for sure. It's a cool little rpg though.

The Splatterhouse sideart is the Japanese flyer artwork. Unfortunately there is no actual sideart for Splatterhouse. The only "original" artwork I've ever seen is the marquee, which in my opinion was unofficially made to go with the Japanese PCBs that got sold to ops here.

I never played the arcade version, I actually never even heard of it until I joined here. Must be one of those uncommon gems :)

I never played/saw Willow in an arcade BITD either. The guy who bought Willow from me last night had played it as a kid in an arcade in Houston. That's why he wanted it and said he has been looking for a complete one with sideart like mine for years. So I'm glad it went to someone who will appreciate it.
