FS: Six Pac Kits $75

Do these boot thru to a game to be invisible or do they always load the menu?

It boots up to the menu by default, however when you select a game it boots fully into that game with attract mode and all. So, assuming nobody hits both player start buttons, it can look dedicated.

Assuming the annoying messaging system didn't dump my messages for replying to too many people too fast, everyone should have gotten a reply.

I've got family in town, so they probably won't ship out until Tuesday/Wednesday.

If you didn't get a reply, ping me at [email protected]

Good stuff from Mark. Game speed and intermission animations are all correct. I've had mine since he started selling the first batch-- still going strong.
My favorite kit (and I owned most of them).

This version boots straight to the menu.... but this may change in a future version with high scores...

Just an observation and an FYI.
Mine boots to Pac Plus.
Not the menu.

Pretty cool. No idea how or why. Guess I am just lucky that way.
Thought I'd share.

Video is of when I am turning game on from power switch on P2 side and walking to P1 side.
Once you can see it is Pac Plus, I hit P1 and P2 and goto menu, selecting Pac Fast.

Does the daughter card near the test connector need to be removed for this to work (I have a Ms Pac PCB)? I cant remember.

You don't need the daughtercard, if I'm not mistaken. Take the Z80 off the daughtercard, put it in the slot on the main PCB. Remove the eproms from the board, and plug the chip connected to the kit into one for the slots (5E, I think). Plug the other part of the kit onto the diagnostic edge connector by the Sync Bus card, and you should be good to go. That's what I did.
