I'd pull the trigger on the Pengo right now if it wasn't for the shipping.

I have to believe shipping from Ontario to Austin isn't cheap... :(

By the way, I love your restoration journals - very nice work!

The DK Jr. looks great as well.

man I wish that Pengo was closer, its a beauty I wouldof grabbed it quick! and also that Sinistar, but shipping them would be too pricey.

Thanks for all the nice comments :)

I know, shipping is the hardest thing about this hobby. The machines that you crave are never just down the street. At least, I know that I never have such luck. I have had NAVL bring some games to me in Chatham Ontario from the USA, Phoenix and Florida. Once they cross the border, the carrier is called something else, like STI-Delivers or some other. I always have to make a lot of calls to arrange a broker and I have to get a money order made out in advance to pay the movers when they arrive and mail a check to the broker. I also had to have my machines delivered to a dock at my place of work or else a home delivery would've cost an additional fee. Then I had to arrange for a friend who owns a truck to bring the games home.

At the seller's/shipper's end of things, the machine has to be wrapped in plastic and cardboard and properly strapped or roped to a skid. I don't have those materials at present.

Since NAVL is based in the USA, I don't know if they will pick up in Canada, but you could call and ask them.

Very nice Pengo..if I didn't have one myself that I got NIB box from Pepsi factory..I'd grab that one...man someone is crazy if they don't get off their ass and arrange to get that find...

AMJ Cambell ships into and out of Canada to the US, pretty reasonable as well. I have used them a few times. Call the Toronto Office
Two questions...

1. What is "pretty reasonable"? Can you give a ballpark?

2. Is it theoretically possible to have someone "drive" it over the border into the U.S. and avoid customs issues altogether? I notice the O.P. is ~55 miles from Detroit.

Thanks!

1. 350 Canadian from florida ( last one I did, a few mos ago)

2. Not really, US border are a***holes, I wouldn't bother as now they are all about harassing people entering, but I guess in theory its possible. I know when you import into Canada, there are no duties associated with it, just some taxes

Wow that is reasonable. Thanks for the info, I'll definitely look in to it. I thought NAFTA was supposed to take care of #2?

if Navl is around $300-$400 I can only imagine how much it would cost to ship from Canada to the U.S.
