FS: Several boards and kits (from generic JAMMA to Marble Madness)

Note: Updating as things sell. Due to size limits on the post, sold items posted in the thread so that folks can see what they sold for.

Please read the descriptions and ask any questions in advance! Prices *do not* include shipping. I'll calculate a combined shipping total for you depending on how you want things shipped. Most of this has been packed and stored in ESD bubblewrap and boxes. I'll do my best to describe each item, and there is a link to pictures of the items. If I say something is working and it isn't when you get it, I'll refund you as long as you notify me within three days. Otherwise, things are sold as described and include what is shown in the photos. If it says untested, it really is. If I test and it isn't working, I will tell you.

If you pay with PayPal (preferred), I will ship in a day or two. If you need to use a money order, I'll put a hold on it for a minimum of two weeks unless you're a member in good standing (I will be the judge of just what that means!) You can send a PM or email stormy at 2084 dot com. Prices firm unless otherwise noted. If things don't sell, I will lower the price or keep the item. Thanks for looking!

New
$50 - Road Blasters daughter board and foot pedal - Board tested OK back in 1996 (yes, really, I didn't manage to test in 2007 while I still had a machine), but no longer have a Sys-1 cabinet, so as-is. I never did test the pedal, but mechanically it is sound (though ugly). Could be made to look good again.

$45 - Three Centipede boards. One is missing a chip, so untested. One was tested and showed nothing on the screen. One was tested and showed garbage on the screen. Did not try to re-seat or move around chips, so maybe you can get one working between the three!

$30 - Gondomania - JAMMA - Tested 100% 12/16/2009

End of New Stuff

$20 - Lee Trevino's Fighting Golf - JAMMA - Working 100% - (Tested 12/14/2009)

$35 - Puzznic (puzzle game + girls, play it on MAME if you haven't) - JAMMA - Working 100% - (Tested 12/14/2009)

$40 - Atari System-1 Main Board, untested. I never got around to testing this one as the Molex connector for the power had been desoldered so I couldn't pop it in my Sys-1 machine. Appears complete other than that.

$250 - Road Runner kit in original System-1 box. Includes two marquees, manual and other paperwork, door sheet, control panel with hall-effect joystick, and of course the daughter board. One marquee (bottom in picture) is pretty good, though my camera flash washed it out a bit, the other is dark (from the heat?) The joystick seems quite loose, though sort of like another hall-effect stick of the same style that I have - maybe that's how they are? There are three cigarette burns on the control panel (shown in pictures). The board was tested about two years ago and worked fine, but I no longer have a System-1 cabinet, so I cannot guarantee this one. The box itself is cool for the nostalgia factor :)

$30 - Mr. Do's Castle - Tested this 100% on a machine I had in 2007. Hooked it up on my test rig (Tested 12/14/2009) and verified picture, credits up, and started. No way to test audio. Has RFI cage if you want it, or I can remove to save shipping cost.

$25 - Mr. Do's Wild Ride (1) - Tested this 100% on a machine I had in 2007. Hooked it up on my test rig (Tested 12/14/2009) and verified picture, credits up, and game starts. No way to test audio. Has RFI cage if you want it, or I can remove to save shipping cost.

$25 - Mr. Do's Wild Ride (2) - Tested this 100% on a machine I had in 2007. Hooked it up on my test rig (Tested 12/14/2009) and verified picture, credits up, and game starts. No way to test audio. No RFI Cage Top (unless someone doesn't want one of the others and you do for some reason). Can remove bottom cage to save shipping cost.

$15 - Quasar (Zaccaria, http://www.klov.com/game_detail.php?game_id=9195) - Untested (uses pins instead of edge connector, so would take a bit of effort to test). I got it in a box inside an ESD bag that was labeled "Quasar and Good" for whatever that's worth. Looks clean and complete.

$40 - Frogger (SEGA/Gremlin) - Marked good, pulled it up on my test bench and video looked good, coined up. Did not test audio (see this article on adding sound to your frogger board: http://www.arcadecollecting.com/info/FroggerSound.txt)

Stuff in the pipeline (need to photograph/test/document):
===================================
I removed the stuff this section as I'm getting too many emails about things that aren't ready for sale yet. Plus I'm having a hard time parting with a few of them!

I'm interested in the super don kit and the thayers quest stuff!

Joe(acejedi)

The Super Don kit I'm having some serious second thoughts about (I always enjoyed this game, and with an NOS kit, I would have a perfect machine.

That said, neither of these can be sold quite yet because I'm having some trouble locating the LD's for them. I know I have them both, but I purposely kept them out of the boxes and with some of my other LD's and LP's. Unfortunately I haven't been able to find that box. We still have unpacked boxes from a move in 1998 and again in 2003. Part of thinning down my collection is making room so that we can simply get to all our boxes and go through things!

I don't anticipate getting a chance to look for them until after the holidays...

For posterity, here's the sold list:

Stuff marked as sold/pending sale:
================================
(sold/paid) $20 - Mortal Kombat - JAMMA - Tested 100% 12/16/2009 - If you buy this, be sure that the sound pot didn't come loose in shipping or you might think that the sound isn't working...

(sold/paid) $30 - Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (TMNT) - JAMMA - Working 100% - (Tested 12/14/2009)

(sold/paid) $35 - Black Tiger - JAMMA - Working 100% - (Tested 12/14/2009) One of my all time favorite side scrollers :)

(sold/paid) $15 - Food Fight - Appears complete, tested not working.

(sold/paid) $125 - Peter Pack Rat kit in original System-1 box. Includes marquee, manual and other paperwork, control panel with joystick and buttons, and of course the daughter board. Sadly this is a beat-up kit. The marquee is suffering peeling/flaking at both ends (you can see in the picture) though it is all there and could be restored if you know what you're doing (or find a pinhead that has fixed peeling backglass and get them to help). The rest of the marquee is good (camera flash makes the center look suspect from the back, but it is fine). The control panel is really nice except where it isn't - see the lower right corner :( (seriously, WTF right?) There is some strapping tape along the bottom of the control panel for no apparent reason (I'm not so sure it was to hold the overlay on) but the graphics are there under the tape. In all the years I've owned this game, I've plugged it in maybe six times. Only once did it work sometime around 1997 if I recall. The most recent time (about two years ago) it had garbage on the screen. My technical expertise goes about as far as re-seating ROM's, and that didn't do it this last time. Still, it is a Peter Pack Rat kit...

(sold/paid) $300 - Marble Madness control panel + daughter board. Beautiful control panel (not even all cleaned up in the photos). One very small nick in the lower right (see close up in photos). Track balls still working remarkably well - *not* in need of a rebuild for a change. The daughter board was last tested about two years ago before I sold my Sys-1 cabinet. I've had this for about 14 years, played it often, stored it properly, and have never had a problem. I am selling the board as working since it has never given me trouble. I will offer a refund if you find it isn't working on arrival.

(sold/paid) $50 - Solomon's Key - JAMMA - Working 100% - (Tested 12/14/2009) - Fun game!

(sold/pending) $20 - Wrestlemania (Technos) - JAMMA - Working 100% - (Tested 12/14/2009)

(sold/paid) $15 - Toypop - Tested good in 1996 when I had a cabinet to plug it into! Uses same pinout as Galaga, Galaga 3, Gaplus, Mappy, Pac-land, Metro-Cross & Namco DigDug. Too much work to hook up video (goes to that 6 pin molex connector) to test on my bench. Selling as not working.

(sold/pending) $20 - Jackrabbit (Zaccaria version http://www.klov.com/game_detail.php?game_id=8216) - Hooked it up on my test rig and got video, coined up, and started (Tested 12/14/2009). I did not hook up controls or sound, but looks like a complete and clean board.

(sold/paid) $35 - Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom daughter board - Tested OK back in 2007, but no longer have a Sys-1 cabinet, so as-is.

(sold/paid) $50 - Battlezone - Looks like it could be missing one socketed chip on the aux board (I'm not familiar with BZ boards), but otherwise complete - Untested. Note that what appears to be battery leakage in the upper right on the main board is just a reflection from the camera flash.

(sold/paid) $40 - NBA Jams Tournament Edition - Tested 100% 12/16/2009 - If you buy this, be sure that the sound pot didn't come loose in shipping or you might think that the sound isn't working...

(sold/paid) $5 - Space Duel Control Panel - The good: The metal is the correct shape and not rusted out :) The bad: The overlay is trashed and there are some missing buttons. If you have an overlay or just need something for your cabinet, this will work. Nothing pretty, but it's the right shape and size.

(sold/paid) $10 - Universal Cosmic Alien (version II) I think! - I looked up the number on the board to determine what it is. Appears complete, but I've never tried hooking it up.

(sold/paid) $5 - Sprint I - Untested

(sold/paid) $40 - Magic Sword - JAMMA - Tested 100% 12/16/2009 - Love this game

(sold/paid) $30 - Tetris - JAMMA - Working 100% - (Tested 12/14/2009)

(sold/paid) $15 - Dig Dug - Missing a ROM (see picture, lower right), therefore untested

(sold/paid) $15 - Asteroids - Appears complete, tested (back when I had an Asteroids) not working.

(sold/paid) $200 - Forgotten Worlds Board and Control Panel - JAMMA - Working 100% - (Tested 12/14/2009). The control panel is in very good condition. A little wear along the top edge. There is one microswitch (that picks up the fire when spinner is pressed) is broken and needs to be replaced (simple fix - standard microswitch). The start leaf switches need adjustment as well. I think this is a fair price as I the controls are hard to find (at least last time I looked) and I didn't pick this set up cheap. I bet I could still do this on a single quarter :)
