Looking to clear out my closet a bit. Just fired up the system and tested everything this afternoon and it all works beautifully. Low use and from a non smoking home. All in excellent condition. Boxed in the closet since 2010.

I'm really not sure what all this is worth, but price charting.com puts it around $600, adding up each piece. That seems like crazy talk to me. Any other pricing sources out there for this stuff? All original, unmodded, official stuff, no 3rd party.

-system console with power, av, phone cord, and manual
-keyboard
-2 guns
-4 controllers (2 white, 2 transparent? blue)
-4 vmus
-4 rumble packs
-4 6 foot controller extension cords

All games are complete in unbroken cases:

Dead Or Alive 2, Demolition Racer, House Of The Dead 2, Rainbow 6, Slave Zero, Virtua On, Virtua Tennis, Razor Scooter Freestyle, Quake 3 Arena

Only looking to sell as a complete lot, and would certainly prefer a local in person pickup. Haven't been to the post office or UPS in quite a while so not up on current shipping prices. All tucked neatly into a single box.

Individual pricing has skyrocketed on VMUs and games in particular. Plus you got a keyboard. Like two years ago I would have said that 300 might be iffy as a bundle. But hell nowadays I don't think 600 would be that far off. Like VMus themselves are going for 20-25 bucks, when in the past they were practically given away.

Completed EBay auctions can be a good indicator of current value for retro games. Just search something like "Dreamcast (console, system) (lot, bundle)" and filter by completed listings to compare a few similar lots. Looks like a gigantic lot similar to yours, but with 27 games that sold for $500, and another with a bunch of games plus a big stack of VMUs for less than $550. Most of the console lots seem to fall in the $130-230 range, but sounds like yours has more going on. If you have the original box for the system or if it's a rare variant, that could add a lot of value.

On a side note, I remember when the Dreamcast died and Gamestop had consoles piled up in a large bin for $10. It was around the time they were selling Neo Geo Pocket Color systems packed with several games for $19.99 (easily 10x the price today). The end of a console's cycle is the absolute best time to buy.

the entire point for PriceCharting's existence is to aggregate completed
eBay actions for historical trends and to determine current pricing:

Yeah this is some crap. Not sure WTF happened, but I remember getting some of the fancy ones on ebay sealed for like 5 bucks back in like 2015-2016. Its like the Pandemic hit and people were like GOTTA HOARD THEM VMUs.

Not to mention that the prices of the Dreamcasts themselves have gone up which makes more sense as they aint the most durable system, but I dunno. I remember the stock of VMUs being extremely healthy for the last ten years.
