lol. wtfbbqmate, ain't no americano using scart here bro. that's those UK wankers.

.....i use scart. :(

Thats probably a nice shielded model too. The ones you can get now are garbage and you lose image brightness and clarity due to lack of shielding. I would have been all over that 5 years ago. Glws!

false. NOBODY USES FUCKING SCART (in the USA). SCART IS 100% EUROPEON SHITE.

SCART (also known as Péritel or Péritélévision, especially in France, 21-pin EuroSCART in marketing by Sharp in Asia,
Euroconector in Spain, EuroAV or EXT, or EIA Multiport in the United States, as an EIA interface) is a French-originated
standard and associated 21-pin connector for connecting audio-visual (AV) equipment. The name SCART comes from Syndicat
des Constructeurs d'Appareils Radiorécepteurs et Téléviseurs, "Radio and Television Receiver Manufacturers' Association", the
French organisation that created the connector in the mid-1970s. The related European standard EN 50049 has then been
refined and published in 1978 by CENELEC, calling it péritelevision, but it is commonly called by the abbreviation péritel in French.

@thegleek Ahahhaha i was gonna type "youre right....i dont use scart." With the picture, But the Ahem works fine too ;)

Well. I like regular game consoles. There are a few consoles, even US versions, that natively support scart output. Scart rgb output is definitely the best quality video cable for any game system pre-component cable era. For instance Sega Genesis. North American Genesis(and sega master system) natively support SCART from the rear DIN port. No mod needed, All you need is a scart cable. I use a framemeister to convert scart to hdmi. It looks really nice. The other option is composite cable or RF. These look like garbage. SCART has much better clarity and color accuracy.

i dunno. i wholeheartedly disagree. i have 10-20 consoles from the 1980's-1990's and they all work 100% pristinely fine with RGB/SVGA/component/composite/s-video/etc...

FUCK. SCART.

Im sure they do, but you havent seen them with SCART. Ive used all of it. Scart looks the best. You dont have to agree or take my word for it. There are plenty of comparison videos online. Ive used plenty pf composite and svideo. The systems I have that support scart, i use scart. Www.retrorgb.com

Those TG add ons are pretty rare. I went with the Duo-R region modded as a slightly smaller alternative. To be more precise on the consoles pictured:

Nintendo
  • NES Toaster - NESRGB board installed, multi-out added with a 3d printed small backing to EuroSCART to the Switcher to both TVs
  • SNES 1-Chip-03 if I recall. My only console to produce native RGB without modification. Multiout to EuroSCART to the Switcher to both TVs
  • N64 - Older Serial with RGB mod installed to activate it. Multiout to EuroSCART to the Switcher to both TVs
  • Gamecube - Original early release black with component output connected via original component cable at 420p to the 20 inch PVM on the left only
  • Wii - Older white model with gamecube dual compatibility. connected via original component cable at 420p to the 20 inch PVM on the left only
Sega
  • JVC X Eye - Unmodified. Euroscart to the Switcher to both TVs
  • Sega Saturn - Unmodified. Euroscart to the Switcher to both TVs
  • Sega Dreamcast - Unmodified. Euroscart to the Switcher to both TVs
Other
  • Turbo Duo-R - Region modded. Euroscart to the Switcher to both TVs
  • Sony PS2 Slim - Unmodified. Connected via original component cable at 420p to the 20 inch PVM on the left only
