So I have had to pass on this one as I just don't have the time/energy/ambition to make the 6 hour roundtrip drive for this. The woman described it to me as working but her grandchildren have gotten themselves inside of it and have messed up some of the wiring. The monitors need a little love so sounds like a couple cap kits and time tweaking monitors and a couple hours checking all the wires to get this thing running smoothly. It pains me to pass this one up but there's just no way... unless someone wants to pick it up for me :). But seriously... a $75 Red Tent. You could make that money back plus some just by selling the Excitebike and SMB chips if you already have those games.

Yeah, normally I would hop in my car to get this no problem but honestly, I just don't want to drive that much. I don't get much time with my family as is and taking a good chunk of a weekend day to be away from them just doesn't appeal to me right now. I've gone back and forth about this game for a good 2 weeks now and I just can't get myself to go get it... as much as I want it.

I agree, they are neat and it's a killer deal. but just too far of a drive, plus I never really was a fan of the tents.

I just picked up that game tonight. I looked at it a week ago when she wanted $150 and said no thanks, emailed her the next day offering $25 and she responded this morning accepting offer. It was a 30 min drive for me. Both sides were reseting over and over when I got it home. I pulled the board and it had two oxidized batteries on it so I changed them and SMB started working, no monitor issues. Just a green screen for Excitebike, so I pulled board again, pulled chip and reseated it and Excitebike works now too. Still no sound for either though, any ideas? I really don't know much about arcade games, really like to play them. I consider myself very lucky for this find.

First off, nice score. Second, there are (2) RP2AO3 chips, located above the big silver PPU chip. I know, I know, you said you were unfamiliar. They are long black chips, that work the sound. They are called CPU chips. There will be one on the left side and one on the right side, of the motherboard. I would start there. They are simple to replace, just take your time. Use a small flat blade screwdriver and use a slight twisting motion, to pull them off. I would pick up (2) of these chips from Mike's arcade. Cost you $12-15 total shipped. As far as any technical issues, I would go to John's website and watch his You Tube vids. He does a nice job of explaining the motherboards and how they work. Third, look at the actual speakers and see if the wires are there. I say that cause I know Ben said, in the initial post, the "kids were messing with the wires". This is a good start. -Matt
