I am now taking pre-order payments on the Omega Race kits. The basic kit comes with everything except the 2114 rams, eproms, and AD561's. These parts are offered as optional parts to the kit. If you buy the kit with all three options you can fully populate a bare board.
There is a very limited supply of AD561, enough for 25 kits. Kits will be sold on a first come first serve basis. Below is a pdf file which list kit contents and pricing. Price does not include shipping, I will do a flat rate of $8 50 states.
PM all requests and include paypal address and shipping address.
I hope to be ready to ship these in about 2 weeks.

Just so there is no confusion, the pcb is not included in the kit. The pcb will be sold by Douglasgb when they are ready. Right now the board is in prototype stage.

What he said Riptor, also, you have this posted in the pinball for sale section!

A full kit with both nos options and the ad561 comes to $190 shipped.
If you need the 561's I wouldnt hesitate, only enough for 25 kits.

Man, I posted this after being awake for 36 hours. Im not surprised I put it in the wrong section.

Thanks Channelmanic for moving this to the correct setion :)

Guys, if you want to reserve your kit please pm me and let me know qty of kits and which of the three options you would like(if any). The eproms and 2114 are available nos or pulls.
I need your shipping address and paypal address to send an invoice.

All requests from last night have been invoiced. Your kits will be reserved upon payment.

Thanks,
Mike

Awesome that this project is progressing.

Buying a kit of parts will save you a lot of time tracking down the parts you need. I bought a kit from Riptor for my last repro.

From my experience building three repro Quantum PCBs:

I suggest socketing all programmable parts (eproms (of course), srams, and proms) and also the expensive analog parts (AD561s). Also parts that connect to the vector monitor (op amps) in case they get blown up and can be easily replaced. On my repro Quantum, I socketed all of the analog ICS so I could replace them easily later if they failed.

Don't be disappointed if the boardset does not work when first plugged in. I assembled all three correctly but each board had a faulty IC including one bad CPU that was supposed to be NOS. None of the faulty parts came from Riptor :).

Good luck and I am anxious to see a finished product.

The kit includes all sockets the original board had which is cpu, rams, eproms. I also included sockets for AD561(not sure if they were socketed originally but probably not and should be) and the 4 op-amps.

Thats good to heard but its always a possibility even with nos parts. In the past few years I have only had one bad part. They were some 2101 rams with around 5 percent failure out of the lot. The best way to avoid bad chips is to never buy from China sources, especially the ones on ebay.

Do you have spares of the edge connector for sale?

The last part is on the way (ad561) so I should have kits ready to ship this week. Im finishing up packaging all the small caps today. Douglas is working on soldering up the proto board so the moment of truth is near.

Half of the kits shipped today. The other half are ready to go and will ship on Monday.
As of right now there are enough AD561 for 18 more kits.

Last bump on these. I will be returning any leftover parts from kits back into inventory in a couple weeks. If you need one of these kits hit me up asap.

Do you have any more omega race parts kits?
Thanks!
