I'm shipping out the remainder of the full production SW Yoke orders over the next few days, so I've about cleared the road for new orders.

I have a decent sized pile of 17 pre-production yokes (nothing wrong with them at all, just used them for testing purposes) that I just cleaned up and rebuilt. I'd like to clear out and recoup some of my investment money on these, so I've lowered the price. These pre-production yokes look exactly like the full production yokes and they're all in perfect condition.

I'm asking $175ea SHIPPED for these 17 pre-production units. I only have 17 of them (I had 20, but 3 were shipped out as evaluation units some time ago) so the offer is very limited!!

Anyone want any of these?

Buy one, buy all of them! Use them, resell them... I don't care.

My paypal email address is [email protected]

As a side note, I also have pre-production tempest spinners, lunar lander thrusters, 720 controllers, logo stick controllers and missile command trackball units. I might let these go just before I have the first production models ready to go.

I already bought one of the production yokes, but I will probably be interested in some of the other pre-production controllers. Please let me know when the time comes.

I would like the yoke I paid for several months ago.

Ok, It came today. I must say, the quality appears excellent and it looks as good as everyone said it would. I am not sure what went down with the shipping, but I am certainly impressed with the workmanship.

Dave, we need you to succeed, as we (Arcade Collectors) need what you make. Please take care of all the old orders so you can move forward with your business/projects. For me, I do not hold grudges, so we are clean. I look forward to your SW/ESB cockpit, the EDOT (I hope) and to doing much business with RAM in the future.

Thank you again for taking the time and initiative to make such products.

I thought about ordering stuff from him, I have emailed him about a number of items, like the yoke and canopy plexi, and hv borads an always answered back right away. Answered the emails quick and gave me the information on the stuff I was asking about.
Has anyone had problems ordering?

I am one of the ones waiting for shipment of a yoke/overlay package also.

I hear the craftsmanship of Ram Control products is extraordinary but it feels like it is a one man operation. The building of a single yoke has to take some time so if you have multiples to put together and are the only one, then naturally it will take some time for the finished product.

This has been discussed many times on the board, but it seems hit and miss regarding turnaround.

I am interested but how long was the turn around? How long did you guys have to wait to receive your orders?

Still waiting for my yoke + overlay from when they were originally offered as well. Email/PM replies seem to be beoming more scarce. Starting to wonder if I will ever see actual product one day.

Hey guys. I'm really trying to get all these yoke orders squared away - but it's taking time. I'm getting a few shipped almost every single weekday now, so the gap is closing up.

While doing those, I try to slip in as many "other" orders during each day, as well. Those aren't really any sort of trouble for me.

If you can just hang in there, the wait will be over with soon. From Dec '09 through Mar '10 there are very few yoke orders I have to focus on, so the gap is going to close even faster.

As a side note: to date, I've had only TWO yokes returned to me from bad address/mis-delivery and ONE yoke damaged during transit. Considering how many I've shipped, I think these are good odds. Overall, it's moving smoothly, albeit slowly.

Hang in there guys. I'm sorry about the delays, but the wait is finally starting to pay off for many of you.

Dave

Also....

Someone mentioned something in the thread that reminded me...

Is there anyone here in SoCal who might be interested in helping me assemble the yokes? I'd like to bring in someone to help build a small stash of about 100 yokes for starters.

The work isn't difficult at all, it's just VERY tedious. I think the worst part is wiring them up which takes awhile, but even that is easy if you know what you're doing. Again, it's simply tedious and time consuming work.

I've been planning on making a post about the general condition of RAM Controls, where it is now, what problem areas I'm having and the options I have/directions to go. I realize that there are delays in ordering from me, especially with the yokes -- but for good reason. It mostly revolves around the fact that I'm one man and I have a job which is taking far more of my time than ever before. Add to that wife and children and you see the problem. If I could spend 100% of my time doing what I love work-wise, I would spend all of my time with RAM Controls. I do love it, too.

The thing is, these delays....I don't want them to exist, so I need to explore options to fix this issue ASAP. If you guys have any real suggestions on how I can get some help, let me know. Ideally, I'd bring in 1 to 4 local collector types to help me out. ...and I'm open to having them work from home, too.

You guys know how generous I am, so I'm happy to compensate for the help.

Thanks for reading, everyone.

Dave

Dave, out of curiosity how many yokes have you shipped so far?

My suggestion: offer the yokes as a "build it yourself" kit with an assembly instruction sheet and knock off some of the cost (or in the case of people who have already ordered, refund some of the money back). I would imagine a good percentage of people wouldn't mind assembling it themselves, especially if it means getting their product faster and saving a little money.

To date, I've shipped somewhere in the vicinity of 80 yoke controllers (probably more, now that I think about it).

I've asked around to get some input on the idea of "build it yourself" controllers, but only two or three people said it MIGHT be a possibility. With such a cold response, I ditched the idea completely.

Mylstar, we need to talk.

Dave, would you sell the do it yourself controllers to the few or who ever wants it? I am sure it would help cutting your number down on building of them
