FS - Popeye cocktail - NJ --- with pics

Popeye cocktail - Not sure if it was converted from dkjr or not. has dkjr style power supply and control panels, but the tag and the artwork say popeye.

since it has the dk/dkjr style power supply and edge connector wire harness, you can easily swap in mario bros, dk, dkjr, and dk3. the monitor is very easy to rotate, I have done it plenty of times.

the monitor has been recapped, looks great. coin mechs work fine. has the original glass. cab is in real good shape, but does have a lock bar across the coin box.

If it's got a 18" monitor, it's likely an original Popeye. If it's got a 13", then it's likely a DK.

it is an 18" monitor, the first that I ever did a cap kit on. it is just strange that it has a popeye ct serial tag, but has cp's and power supply from a dkjr table. all the other popeye ct's I have seen here on klov have the popeye power supply and cp's that say "punch" instead of "jump".

the serial number is quite high, so I guess they just ran out of popeye parts near the end of the run.

having the dkjr power supply makes the machine a lot more versatile. with the popeye power supply I don't think it would be able to play the other nintendo classic games. I have even plugged in my nintendo vs harness to this machine to test vs boards.

bump

the timestamps on the dkjr and popeye pics are not lying, 4 minutes to change between vertical and horizontal games.

2 player mario bros is playable, I reversed the wires for player 2 left and right so that luigi goes the proper direction. sure you are looking at the screen upside down, but the controls work fine.
