For sale: Sega Pitfall II video arcade game. Cabinet is very solid except for a couple of craters on the front (see pictures below, might have been an ashtray screwed on). Game is working. Has credit button on coin door. 4900 monitor is a little weak and probably needs a cap kit. Pick up in Hampshire, IL. I'm about 40 minutes from the Chicagoland show in St Charles. $350.

How different is the gameplay from the 2600 on this one? Obviously the graphics are improved, but how does it play? I loved the original and I've always wanted the arcade port. Just never saw one in person. Is this in the original cab or is it a conversion? Looks like no side art?

Note: For those who don't know the history, this is a rare (unique?) home console game that was later ported to the arcade format. It probably happened a few times, but Pitfall II is the only game I'm aware of.

Add me to that list of "Had no idea."

Played the HELL out of Pitfall on the 2600. One of the few games that actually seemed fun, although very repetitive... I actually played it for a bit the other night. Kind of amazing how simple games used to be BITD...

there were 2 of them for sale in reno just about 1 year ago.
The first guy was reasonably priced (like this one) and the other guy kept trying to sell it for $1500.

Awesome machine and a great price but I don't think it's a dedicated cabinet.

If someone is interested I'll throw in a complete extra control panel from a dedicated cab and wiring harness. Has a real nice overlay.

Hans O

no doubt, I chose not to mention that, but..........

his cab looks way better than a dedicated cab, lol.
