I picked this up awhile ago hoping to turn it into a cool arcade sign with that 80's feel. Lite Bright was the best back when I was a kid. Anyway, with the new round of water issues I'm having (go with drop ceilings avoid that sheet-rock!) it will be ages before I get any time for new game room decor. I need to move some stuff so this has got to go. Thought I'd ask here before it hits CL. $30 pick it up or I'll ship it for cost. Real clean working unit with about 4lbs of pegs.

free bump!! neat!! i forgot about lite brite!!!

im so glad i havent finished my gameroom, if i do caqrpet itll be rug style for sure, after all the horror stories im going to leave my celing painted/unfinished...

Lite brite was one of the best toy ideas ever... do they still make new ones?

Seems like they should be able ot make it with a self-sealing perforated rubber membrane behind the grid, so you wouldn't need the black sheets of paper to cover up the holes that didn't have pegs (and perhaps a CCFL backlight, so it wouldn't have to be so deep....

Yeah the still make them. They're a little different now , but you can still buy the older style like the one in the ad here. I seen them about a year ago at Big lots for $14.99 I bought a few as Christmas gifts for some kids in the family.

Yes, but not with 4lbs of old-school pegs. The units are pretty cheap on eBay, even the new ones, but the pegs still get a few bucks. Just looking for a new home for this, any reasonable offer considered.

As for the water issues, I've been fighting nature ever since we moved into the new place. Lost my black light carpet, dug trenches in the yard, now I have a leaking pipe in the ceiling somewhere. The sheet rock basement ceiling that is barely 2 years old. If I owned a big tractor I'd be knocking my freakin' house down.

Sorry to hear about the water damage. And I'm sorry I didn't mean to cause problems with your sale. I just meant that I had bought some that were the same style as yours not like the newer ones that are on this website. http://www.hasbro.com/litebrite/
