i have a very nice Compag Presario laptop V6000
it is not working,worked last night,turned on today and nothing

bought my wife a new laptop a few days ago,and won't need to try to repair
i can't remember the spec but i think it was Turien 64 bit 2000 processor
it was fast,no hard drive will be included due to the personal stuff on it and can't redo it it is a few years old

it has wireless 801.11
3 usb
memory card reader
dvd burner with lightscribe
i think 2 gig ram but can't remember
windows vista coa sticker with key
15.6 monitor
vga out
s-video out
ethernet
56k modem
charger

no harddrive

looking to get 100.00 shipped

Before you sell it, check to see if it was one of the ones affected by the NVidia settlement. My daughter's compaq just died and we checked and it was on the list - HP is supposed to replace them - Dell and Lenovo are repairing them.
My daughter is sending in her paperwork now.

nvidea was sued. the class action settlement allows you to return your laptop for a replacement, but hang onto it for now.

i repair laptops, and the HP/Compaqs of that era (any Vxxxx or DVxxxx with the AMD chip) all overheated. put a hot chip in a ventless bag, and you know what happens. i sold off all my DV6000, DV8000, and my 1 DV9200 before they could melt.

HP won't help you at all with your laptop right now...but nVidea will.
