This will be finished up today, just have to make 1 slanted piece that goes under the head, in the back. Also have to make the Amp board mounts in the head.

Game is made with black melamine and birch ply, first 2 layers of game base are birch ply. No hardware on cabinet, you'll need to drill your hinge locations for the back door, these were left blank due to no factory replacement hinges, and also will need monitor mount holes, and marqee/bezel holes drilled. Head is currently not attached for easy transport. I had planned on attaching it with Drywall screws. There is an error in this cabinet, the game sides, on the pedestal half. The back of the sides, right by the back door, the angle cut is wrong. It's supposed to be cut at 9 degrees, but there isn't such a thing as a 9 degree V router bit, it has to be custom made and very expensive, you have to buy at least 6! This is only noticable from directly behind the game, the cabinet side profile is 100% correct. It's something that's just going to happen when i make these untill i can afford 600.00 for 6 custom bits that i will only ever use on MH! Price is 500.00

Located at zip 43457 pickup greatly preferred, Paypal accepted

Thanks! This is by far the most difficult cab i make. Hence the price! I have about 25 hours into it as it sits, and another 2 or so hours today to finish it up. It's not like a Galaga, those go from cut to done in 6 hours

I've had a machine shop cut an existing bit down for me to get the shape I wanted before. I think it cost me about 60 or 70 dollars for the bit and shop time. Ask around and somebody can do it for you. Beautiful cabinet, though!

thanks! I'll have to check into having a bit cut down, hadn't thought of that. I can probably go with a 1/4 straight bit, 9 degrees isn't alot.

Taking your empty cabinet and using it to create a dedicated Major Havoc replica would be a very cool project!

It got me thinking, and I actually have a lot of the "hard" stuff on hand:
have repro whirly-gig roller controller
have dedicated MH pcb
have NOS amplifone crt
have amplifone yoke
have amplifone deflection pcb
have amplifone hv pcb
have amplifone crt mounting brackets
have A/R-II pcb
have transformer brick (from a Tempest)

It's the rest of it where there are some spendy items, and pieces of rather nebulous current & future availability (i.e. RAM Controls).

$500 cabinet DPtwiz
50 special t-molding for base
175 side art Phoenix Arcade
110 cpo Phoenix Arcade
wiring harness
200 control panel RAM
135 marquee RAM
150 side speaker grills RAM
20 lower speaker grill RAM
45 retainer brackets RAM
glass
speakers
coin door
etc...

I didn't measure this cab, I got it from Dave. I can't sell it, or the starwars files. I would be willing to sell files of the cabs I drew myself though.

I got tempest working later that week too, the transformer on the powerbrick went bad. Killed a ton of ar2 boards till we figured it out lol

How bout a list of the files you have measured yourself and maybe a price for the files. I have a guy local that is assembling cabs that could build it for me. Might be worthwhile instead of trying to ship one.

Yes, sure would...I don't stack up quite as well...

you have a dedicated unhacked harness? Maybe we can talk about that this summer, when i can afford 5K feet of wire and a ton of molexes :D

If anyone wants this and can paypal today, 400.00 I can store it till you have time to get it, or till we can arrange shipping. Pallet, cardboard, shrinkwrap at actual material costs, 20 - 30 bucks? I really should wait till someone specifically asks for one before i make it next time lol! Also, includes 7/8 T molding for base back edges by coin door, and smooth 3/4 for the other areas!

I might be interested - how long could you store it? I'd be driving from MD and couldn't arrange a trip until April.

No problem storing it till april. I may be hitting the road for work, but i'll be back every few weekends. Hell, i'll store it till you can pick it up, not really a big deal for me. Let me know, thanks! Brett
