chips4sale sales a NOS CPO for 3 bills. check.
someone buys it. check

some think it was a dumb idea??

maybe Im missing a piece to this puzzle.
but I look at it this way. Chips knows he can sell it for top $$ before a repro is made
hey is America. I get it.
so 3 bills really isnt that bad to someone that would like to buy it and then repro it to recoupe his costs.
had I seen this before I wouldve been tempted to buy even at that price.

True its always nice to see fellow collectors help out when they can
I get lots of NOS pieces and scans just because they want to help out the community.
but this hobby aint free and sometimes you gota put up to get what you want.

This post summed up my thoughts as well.. The guy that bought it will surely repro it and make the money back and probably a little extra to boot in the long run. It's just business.

$300.00 doesn't seem crazy to me either, but i came from nintendoage You know how crazy all of use are over there with NOS, MIB, Proto, and rare items like this

And heck if you can repro it, it sounds like hes giving it away. Heck selling a reproed Cpo would probably fetch around $75.00 each. So sell 4 of them and you already broke even. And im sure there is more than 4 people out in the world who is wanting to fix up a rampage.

now i would have done a scan but someone from klov didnt simply ask for a scan of something i had for sale. he tried to bait my wife into taking detailed pics of it and then posted on here how he was going to get better pics so it could be reproduced.

I know I asked to get a scan of your root beer tapper handles a while back to get them reproduced and your response was - sure you can get a scan - buy the control panel for 350 bucks and you can scan them and get them reproduced.

theBman is just a joe like any one of us, he's not a business, or a service, or anyone's personal slave.
