FS: NOS Nintendo ORANGE BUTTON

Are people ever interested in used original buttons? I have a few that I just can't bring my self to toss out but at the same time will probably never use them.

Even the used orange and blue nintendo buttons are worth selling (especially the blue ones because a lot of them got burnt by cigs). If you have some (blue or orange) in good shape I'll buy one. PM me.

Seriously, what was with that? The first Donkey Kong UR I played consistently in an arcade had those buttons totally melted by cigarettes...

I do have NOS blue buttons but the base and push button parts are not the same blue.
It's weird how Nintendo blues are like that.

Apparently it was the only place to put them to prevent them rolling onto the floor. Remember seeing games with ashtrays mounted on the sides of them lol.

This, in addition to the concave part being a little deeper on the Nintendo button. You guys may not appreciate the differences but to some of us all of this matters.

This is one thing I'm a stickler on for my Nintendo cabs. They must have original buttons. Luckily, I've run across a few games with all original non cig burned buttons and have managed to squirrel away a few nice spares for all my ninty needs. Just looks weird to me with non nintendo buttons. Glad you got what you needed.

The picture of the used ones on your site look really light compared to mine.

Here's mine (post novus treatment). The color of the base and push button are the same.

I wonder whether they changed the color down the road and then mixed and matched or something.

My Mario Bros. widebody still has the original orange Nintendo button for player 2, but player 1's button was changed out by a previous owner with a shorter (about 1/2 the height), faded red button with rounder edges. And not even the whole button was changed out, just the plunger part is red; the outside housing is the original orange piece. It works perfectly but looks like ass.

Dude someone did the same exact thing to my dk3 control panel lol! What are the odds?

Wanna sell those two? :)

Heres what I have, you can see greenish blue color change they go through from age.

The button on the left is is a tad bit darker than it's original shade and is the best looking one I have used.Second pic shows how drastic the shade changes with age/use. Looking at the first button you would think it is still factory shade but it is not. The rest are all darker greenish blue.

Now that the button's sold and this has become a discussion thread......so you're saying that Punch-Out!! originally came with orange/white combo buttons? My manual just says "orange button ass'y" (hehe, "assy"). I agree with those that notice a major difference between the original and repro leaf buttons.

I have heard from some other members that sometimes nintendo used whatever they had sometimes which lead to the two tone buttons.
