FS: Nintendo sign - factory fiber optic animated store display

Nintendo Fiber Optic Sign - Animated Store Display
Model #NESM36F - Double sided logo artwork
Has factory loops to hang or sits nicely on a shelf.
$400/SHIPPED obo or it goes to ebay which I feel will bring the same amount or more.

32" Wide - 12" Height - 6" Depth

Inside the magic happens with a motor running a lighted disc, which colors and animates the fiber optic lights on the front of the sign. The sign changes colors between Red and white repeating the sparkly animation effect every few seconds. The backside of the sign is Nintendo logo only and does not light up. The backside has a few light scratches and scuffs pictured (exaggerated) but very clean and presentable. This is a metal framed display sign. 100% working and 100% of all the fiber optics function property.

Most of these M36 factory display signs have the text "World of" light up. This one does not have the "World of Nintendo" script only the Nintendo logo. This sign is slimmer, cleaner, takes up less space and visually is much more appealing to me.

I've owned this sign for many years, its one of my last Nintendo artifacts from my NES collecting days! It is in very good shape physically, electronically and mechanically!
I have examined the sign very close and it is in near mint / like new condition and working great. Its has always been well taken care of and worked perfect all these years for me. It should last a lifetime other than a bulb replacement every few years under regular use.

I enjoyed this animated sign for years in my gameroom above my Mario Bros. coin-op video arcade machine. The Mario Bros. arcade has been sold, now the sign is up for grabs!

This sign is very heavy near 30 lbs. and oversized. I will wrap very well and sturdy so it arrives safely and in the same condition as it left my collection. It will be wrapped like Fort Knox and packaged to the best of my ability with attention to detail.

Here is a video of the actual sign in action, my camera focus was tricked by the fiber optics but it give you a good idea of what it looks like while the sign is lit-up.

Think I'm full of shit on what this is worth? Think I'm smoking seriously good stuff? I paid about what I'm asking back in the day, and here's ebay link of a recent completed listing for same brand, fiberoptic nes sign, different script - closed/sold @ $550 PLUS $75/shipping.

And 5 more pictures with one of the sign in action... Sadly all of the pictured games in the row are no longer in the housecade with no plan of replacing them.

The sign is in beautiful condition from the front side and would be a nice crown jewel for any Nintendo collector... the guys on the Nintendo forums salivate over these fiber optic signs!

i dont think your full of it. This is a good price. Wish i had the extra room and cash but the sign i own is taking up all of my space>

I would not let anyone touch my sign for double what your asking. So i think its a good price, and good luck with the sale. I'll pass this along to some friends and hopefully you can make a sale. Good Luck!

Wow, from the response its probably well under what I could get on ebay, but I'll stand by my price until I've given the interested klov collectors first crack. I've had lots of people at my house ask about the sign. Never for sale, until I realized I basically own nothing Nintendo anymore and that it had been sitting months without getting plugged back in somewhere around the house. At one point I had told a guy I was on the fence about if I wanted to sell it but if they put $200 cash in my pocket I'd let it go out the door... he laughed and surely thought I was crazy, counter offered a much lower price which I replied the usual "I know its worth double on ebay and I think thats a smokin' price". It finally gave me the courage to put a serious price in my head on what I want for it and for that I appreciate lowball offers.

Its on hold for the #1 on the runway waiting for paypal to start... if he decides not to get it and #2 and #3 end up passing, I will go ahead and put this on ebay @ $99 with no reserve with a link to the auction. Thanks guys!

At this point I will not be considering lower priced offers. I have enough people showing interest and quite a few trying to pay more than what I'm asking for the sign. One of the first line of guys will probably take it for the asking price. If they don't want it I'm sure one of the guys offering more money will be excited to jump on it.

If you sent me a lower offer I do appreciate the interest and response, but unfortunately with the overwhelming messages and emails I got it was a clear message I am spot on with pricing. If I can't get full asking price from klov I'm positive the Nintendo sign is going on ebay and will close for more money.

I'd consider it sold at this point unless a half dozen people all decide to pass on it after getting their initial PM's in line.

No, I'm not running an auction and no, I didn't say take the highest bid or say yes to any of the guys offering more bling bling after the first round. 1, 2 and 3 all offered full price and thats all I'm asking for. I'd love to get more of course, but I'm not milking a cow either.

I have seen this in person!! This is well worth the price!!
I think it is and was drooling when I originally spent the big bucks to find one. You've just gotta be one of those over the top Nintendo nerds to appreciate the sign for what it actually is and not the cheap crap you can buy anytime on ebay or the commonly available neon. (These only come up every few months and people go apeshit over them) Most stores didn't even have these factory authorized signs this sweet back in the day!

I'm wishing I'd gone straight to the bay with it, at least on ebay everyone gets a fair whack at purchasing it and it goes for whatever the market thinks its worth. I feel bad breaking a dozen collectors hearts since there is only one sign to go around. Klov is frantic who sent the first PM and who gets paypal rolling and unfortunately if you don't hawk all over it like a vulture you miss the cool shit! Who has time for that crap?? :)

Yes, I'm first with payment!

Thanks again Karl, I had no idea there was that much interest in this, and to be honest I "thought" the price was high for a sign, but I remember them from when I was younger and thought they were so awesome so I said, to heck with it!

Now looking around, they seem to be hard to get a hold of and I'm glad/lucky to snag one that looks so nice from someone who this board seems to have a lot of respect for, so thank you again and I'll post when it arrives and update feedback.

Awesome. Karl is good people and I'm glad he was able to sell it. Post pictures of that baby lit up in your game room. :)

Karl, I've tried IM, email and calling you. Can you please contact me ASAP, I still don't have the sign nor a tracking number.

If anyone knows where Karl went, please post as well.

USPS has it and its on the way, insurance info & tracking number has been provided.
Thanks and enjoy the sign, it looked bitchin' hanging in my arcade and I'm gonna miss it!
