FS: Nintendo Famicom clone shaped like cocktail arcade machine, new

Howdy-

I'm selling one of my toys from my recent trip to Japan: a Nintendo Famicom clone (Japanese version of the US Nintendo NES) that looks like a shrunken Space Invaders cocktail machine.

New in box, opened only to test & photograph.

Battery operated (!). One could hack an AC adapter into the battery compartment w/out too much trouble, though.

Comes with Macross cart.

Thanks,
-Jason

That is pretty cool!!

Unrelated: Did you try any of the various TWIX flavors they have out there? I've ordered a bunch of candy and snacks from Japan a few times. Pretty cool.

That thing looks really cool... it'll be interesting to see how much it goes for

I love how cheap that stuff is over there, and how much it goes for over here.

I picked up my Famicom for a whopping 500 yen (less than $5 at the time) and a complete disk drive for about 2000 yen (less than $20).

Sadly, the famicom no longer works (lost the proper adapter for it)

Thanks--it is pretty keen--I almost picked up the working Space Invaders micro cocktail that's about that same size, but that was $50-80 or so, I passed on that one.

Didn't have any Twix--had tons of ice cream, though!

Bump with a question: Where is the Wii that should be on top of your Nintendo system shelving? Maybe paired with a better TV in another room?

You made me LOL, thanks--a good LOL is nice when you're still at the office at 9:32PM...

To answer your question, the Wii is a current generation console that is still sold in stores, so it is not welcome in my home full of classic goodness! :)

(though the Wii *is* an incredible machine...and if somebody put a gun to my head & made me buy a current generation console, it would be the Wii for sure!)

Thanks,
-Jason
