FS Nice Working Pole Position II - Minnesota - $450

Man that's one of my wife's favorite games. It's sad to think it would cost me more to ship it than to buy it. It looks really nice too. I soooo wish you were my neighbor or that I haven't bought like 9 games already this year (did I just admit that...DOH!)

I did my first haul last weekend and got 3 games for less than I have paid for any one before that and I had to ship all of the ones before in addition to those prices. As soon as I say, "no more shipping for me" stuff like this comes along.

Great job on the restoration. How would you like to take a nice scenic drive with your family to Shreveport LA? :)

There's just no demand, I don't know if it will ever come back. This hobby needs new collectors.

...and the new collectors oftentimes get run out of here by over zealous "serious" collectors who feel obligated to bitch at them because they've decided to part out their Asteroids after it didn't sell whole for 3 months straight...

Yes, and there's that. But I'd say generally this hobby appeals to a demographic that is getting older, and the number of collectors is not going to grow significantly.

Great time to be buying, lousy time to be selling. You could say that about a lot of things, not just arcade games.

i would be interested in buying this as a kit ( i'm starting another pole position restore) but i know thats asking to commit a crime!!!

I'd rather keep it whole. It's a decent, working, nice looking machine. If I had an Arcade building rather than just a basement gameroom, I would keep this and place it near my Pole I cockpit. As it is, I need to fit other games down into that room. I just don't have the space for 2 Poles.

.

I have been looking for a Pole Position Willis overlay for my Pole position 2 since I saw yours. Ironicaly, I got a lead on one this morning. I think it will make the pole 2 cab stand out more than the pole 1 cab since they are sitting next to each other. Other wise they look like the same game to non collector types.

Nice machine by the way.

You ain't kidding. The Willis overlay also matches the Pole II marquee better IMHO. I love that overlay. Congratz on finding one. I still have the Pole II Dash shroud with the 4 track graphic laying here, but I like the original Pole I dash with the gauges.

This machine has been sold to Nevus. Thanks Chris. I hope it stays working for years and you and your wife enjoy the hell out of it.

Do you happen to have the WG 4600 monitor?? I live in MN.

What do you mean, 'the' 4600? I have 'a' 4600 in this machine, yes. It was from a Berzerk machine and has some burn in the tube. It has been sold with the machine and should be shipping out to LA this week.

Arrived! Nice machine, looks good. Let me say that I'll take Phet's "un-restored" games any day. Lots of attention to detail inside and out.

Woot! I've been wanting to add a racing game.

Awesome Chris. Enjoy the heck out of it, my kids loved it. If I didn't already have the cockpit, I woulda kept it. Pole Position I & II are great games.
