Lets hope Wisenheimr has a sense of humor. At least the other recently necrobumped popeye thread the OP is no longer active.

Well I can safely assure you that the other guy definitely doesn't have much of one given his hatred for nib uh boxes

But let's face it.. whoever ended up with this Popeye more than likely converted it back or to Donkey Kong. DK is just way better!

Probably. Back then it was half the price of a DK or less. I picked mine up for 200 minus the pcb about 5-6 years ago and intended to DK it. But it was backburnered, and before I got to it I got a DK. So I got it a board and it stayed Popeye.

It would be fun to know the whereabouts of this Popeye. Just so we could say it's one of the infamous 'Available Popeye' Popeyes.

That would add a few hundo to the value, for sure.

Wow this was many moons ago. Haven't had any Nintendo cabs in a while because everybody snaps them up here in SoCal within 10 minutes by offering over asking price and sending PayPal or Venmo to lock the deal. I did get a hold of this pretty toasty all original Mario Bros. WB that I'm working on . Will probably sell it down the line.

Ouch. I thought my MB was toasty. I only had to do the speaker panel and had delam and some chipping around the bottom 1" of the whole thing. Mine was open to the weather in an open trailer body for probably 15-20 years. I tell you, Nintendo plywood cabs really hold up. Someone must have really abused that poor thing!
