FS: Neo Geo MVS dedicated 6-slot; clean, works great! (TX) REDUCED! WILL SHIP!

After caring for this beauty for the better part of 7 years, I've decided it's time to let her go.

This is an original, dedicated 6-slot Neo Geo MVS cabinet. It is in very nice condition, and can look like brand new very easily.

Everything works as it should; the monitor is nice with no burn-in that I can tell. LEDs work on the control panel, and the buttons and joysticks are new.

The locks were installed when I bought it, and I have two keys per lock - one for the top, one for the coin drawer, and one for the mini marquee panel.

Some of the lights work for the mini marquee panel, but can be easily fixed with some new paper (electric).

Coin mechs work, but I have it set to free play. This can easily be switched.

Also included is the original manual, and I have the cardboard slot covers as well.

These "big red" 6-slot cabs are not easy to find, and in this condition, you can almost forget about it.

There is no water damage or any other issues with the cabinet, but it is VERY heavy.

Will ship in the US - buyer makes all of the arrangements with NAVL. Pick-up preferred, but I will ship, in order to sell. It is bigger than a Pac-Man machine though, and heavier as well.

Asking $650, and the 2 games (Super Sidekicks 3 w/original mini marquee, shockbox & insert; and The Super Spy w/original mini marquee, shockbox & insert) are included. The games are working, original, and in near mint condition.

Finally, I'll throw in the new bar stool as well.

If I'm shipping, the stool and shockboxes are not part of the deal, because I would have to ship them separately. The cost would be $600 for the cabinet with games loaded.

If you only want the cabinet without the games, shocks and stool, the price is $550.

Serious inquiries please. I can be reached at 512-663-4148 between the hours of 9:00 am and 6:00 pm CST, or send me a pm.

Thanks for looking!

Thanks Dave, I appreciate it!

I know it's a long shot... but if you ever have to part this thing out, let me know... I just picked one of these up with all the wiring and monitor in tact... but I still need a bunch of parts

I just picked up 2 MVS systems for $300. Both needed work. One was missing the PCB. The other one, the "good" one, worked but, was a cosmetic mess internally. Within 4 days, the monitor died on the "good" one. It got a cap kit, flyback and Power IC costing $200. Since both machines need cosmetic TLC, I am going to have quite a bit more money to invest.

Long story short, I would take yours in a heartbeat if it were in Orlando. Since it isn't, I am just going to stare in awe at it. It is in great shape. :)

Thanks.

I'm trying to emphasize exactly the point that you've made here.

So many times people buy MVS cabs only to have one or multiple things wrong with them, or they've been beat to hell.

I'm willing to ship this anywhere someone is willing to pay to have it shipped to, but I would think that the cost associated would blow the deal.

So, I figured it would just be easier to advertise it as a pick-up only.

Who's up for a road trip?! ;)

It really is a nice looking unit. I hope to restore mine to the same condition. If this were in Orlando, I really would have taken it for the $700+. Did you restore it yourself or did you get it in this condition? I have to commend you for the care you've given it too. I haven't seen many in that condition and I go to about every arcade I can find.

My "good" one is actually starting to look much better then it did and I hope to be able to put the monitor back in this weekend. Mine is a mess but, it is coming along. I knew it was a project machine when I got it but, I didn't expect the monitor to go in 4 days. All-in-all, I expect to have about $600-$650 into my machine by the time it is in the condition of yours. All of the back breaking work isn't worth the $100 savings but, it is nice to bring them back from the dead. :)

Thanks. Actually, other than replacing the joysticks and buttons, everything is as I bought it 7 years ago. I take care of my stuff, so it's pretty much how I bought it.

I don't know if I have it priced too high, but so far I'm not getting much interest (I also posted it on Craigslist, and coinopspace.com.)

The two games included are in outstanding condition (see pics below), and I'm throwing in the stool, which is also new.

Super Sidekicks 3: The Next Glory (comes with cart, mini marquee, shockbox, full frontal insert) BEST OF THE SERIES, IMO; ACTUALLY I THINK IT'S THE BEST SOCCER ON THE NEO, PERIOD. GREAT CONDITION!

Super Spy, The (comes with cart, mini marquee, shockbox, full frontal insert) ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL! P.S. - I DESIGNED THE SHOCKBOX INSERT. ;)

If I didn't include the stool or the games w/shockboxes and minis, I would have listed it for $650.

Again, not sure if that's too high or not, but I paid $750 when I bought it.

Like I said before... if you ever decide you need to part it out, I would be happy to take some of the pieces off your hands. (well... I should add, when I get money, and for the right price)... I do hate being broke.

in fact, forget that, lol. I have no money. bad timing.

free bump?

I think a little control panel paint, some side graphics and the right players left player graphics would go a long way. The cab would look pretty new then and should be easy to sell.

You're right - a quick stencil job on the sides and above the coin slots, and that would make it look great.

Also, I always intended on removing the control panel, sanding, priming and painting it.

The cab would indeed look like brand new.

However, I don't have the tools or the time, and now that I'm not keeping it, I don't want to tempt myself.

If I did that work, I would not want it to go (I don't really want to sell it now, to be honest.)

So, a day's worth of minimal effort on some lucky person's behalf, and they could have a really special 6-slot cab.

I'm interested and not too far away... however my wife is going to kick my ass if I spend $700 on another game. Are you flexible on price? Interested in a possible trade for a fully restored Street Fighter II in a Dynamo corner-cut cab with 19" monitor?

Bump.

Price reduced to $650 for the cab, 2 games w/shocks & mini marquees, and stool.

If you just want the cabinet, I've dropped it to $550, which is VERY good for a 6-slot in this shape.

I hope this generates interest.

Steve
