Cab is SOLD

I've got a Big Red 2-Slot MVS cab that I've been planning on restoring but other more pressing projects have come up and I decided to let this one go. The cab sides are currently completely stripped (looks like unpainted MDF) and has had some patch work done to it by me. I replaced a front corner that had been damaged, but it also needs one bit on the control panel side replaced. It does not include an MVS board but it is fully working. I've got a 4 slot we can test it with for those interested.

It also has a restored control panel with a new repro overlay purchased from ArcadeOverlays.com, and it will also include it's original factory CPO. The control panel has been repainted by myself with the new repro overlay applied. Only problem with the control panel is that at some point it fell and scratched some of the new paint so it's got a little 'scar' that can be easily replaced. It has a few new buttons on the CPO but no sticks. I have the coin doors for it, but no coin mechs and I even have some new repro SNK/MVS/Neo*Geo side art that has not been applied. It has it's 2 Slot marquee with a couple of mini marquees in there. I also have the memory card plate that these cabs had (the 2 slot version, not the smaller 4 slot memory card sticker) as well as some files for repro-ing the memory card sticker that i will hand over to the buyer. Also I have the original Smoked Glass that came with the cab in perfect condition. The monitor is in good condition as well, very slight burn-in but nothing drastic. Those in the Austin area feel free to contact me to come by and look at it. Looking to get $175 (negotiable) for the cab, art and control panel. It would make a great Neo-restore project or if you wanted to MAME it out, that would work as well, I suppose. This is located in the Austin/Cedar Park Texas area. Sorry no shipping, pickup only.

Even though it doesn't have an MVS board in it, I'll throw in a Super Sidekicks 2 MVS cart at no extra cost.

One last thing, there are no pieces of wood missing. Though you see the rear of the monitor in one of the pictures, the piece of wood that belongs there IS included.

This would make a great restoration project. Sorry to hear you didn't get around to finishing it. I already have one of these if not I might have had to make the drive. Where did you get the side decals?

afternoon bump.

I'm also accepting trades for tools, so if you have any tools you'd be willing to part with, please let me know and we can work something out. Looking for a router, circ saw, dremel, all the useful stuff.

you should list what's missing to make it complete, other than the board.

Did these come with the EL panel for the marquee originally?
does it have all of the memory card pieces and wiring?

The marquee is just lit up by the main marquee light, as far as I know this version of the 2 slot didn't have independant marquee lights (not 100% sure about it though). As for the memory card, the 2 slot board has an onboard memcard slot so there was no wiring necessary. The MVS board was literally backed up against the front wall near the memory card plate and you schlepped the card in whenevver you needed. Other than the MVS board, it's not missing anything.

If I buy this, Do I also get what is at the other end of the tail in the picture?

ha, no way. That's my crazy cat who wouldn't let me take that picture. believe it or not that's the best one I could get, with the least amount of fatass cat in it.
