FS Multi Vector Control Panels - Run #2

For those of us who are out of the loop but think this could make a neat project, is this for any specific multigame setup? Like ZVG or AAE? I tried to do a little research, but wasn't finding any info fast and didn't want to flip through the last thread.

Mainly wondering if there is a board or emulator still in production that can utilize a real vector monitor (besides ZVG which I guess is no longer made?).
I have become somewhat of an expert on the subject of vector arcade emulation, I've been doing this awhile now, with every system and setup imaginable. The best vector game emulator for the actual games themselves is macmame os9 version .56. running on a G4 mac, PERIOD. It is the best and I have tried them all. The interface for these ancient versions of mame suck, there's no front end really but the games themselves actually render at least as good as and in many cases BETTER than the ZVG running to a WG6100. Go ahead and challenge me but I've been doing this for years and I have side by side setups for comparasons. Windows versions of mame never render the vectors as nicely as the old macmame os9 versions. I currently run a G4 450 to a Gateway VX910 in my Star Trek cab and it looks and plays awesome. I will not hack up control panels to emulate games, I will just get the appropriate cabinet and add it to the collection. So now I'm stuck with a spinner on the left side of the CP and it makes playing Tempest and MH kinda suck.
I think some people here may become disapointed in not being able to easily emulate their favorite vector game. I know I am pissed right now because I can't play Space Fury in the Windows version and Major Havoc is basically unplayable for me right now.
ZVG looks like it may go the same way as AAE due to lack of sharing of the Mame CODE. SteveJ was nice enough to get a version of windows command line mame to run ZVG output but after repeated requests, he will not share the CODE he wrote for that version of mame he tweaked. It is buggy and the game list is incomplete and he is not allowing anyone else to work on the original code. This is EXACTLY why AAE is basically almost DEAD in the water. Tim (the creator of AAE) did not share the CODE for several years and it basically stopped progress on AAE for a few years and peeps just gave up.
AAE is very nice but the game list is not expandable and currently does not accept joystick input (Star Wars). The spinner controls in AAE are anemic and will not cut it.
I really wonder how many people that have purchased "multi vector" anything actually understand what they have gotten themselves into.
The ZVG setup is a looooooong way from "turnkey" and unless you are a proficent user of mame, I really can't see everyone being able to play all the games the way they originally thought they would.
I suspect that even the Linux and Dos versions of mame have similar issues as the windows version, I have never seen a demonstation of all the games running at full speed with correct audio, I would like to see Major Havoc played at regular speed....

Not to derail the topic... feel free to start a new thread.

I have MH running in my DOS system, WITH a real nice front end at full speed with the correct audio, driving a 6100 with a kick ass control panel (if Takeman and I do say so ourselves) with awesome artwork on said control panel. :D

I am happy for you Shill...Not trying to bust the sales, just being realistic that's all. And your response to my request thread on byoac was kinda worthless, since all you do is say to come back to klov and there's no known progress on zvg for windows...
Feel free to post videos, I think many would love to see all the games running at full speed.

I gave the go ahead on these today. This WILL BE THE LAST RUN for a VERY LOOOONG time.

I am only running 25 and thats it. 17 are spoken for, leaving 8 left.

Cool.

And to be clear on the CPO/Marquee. I will run enough to cover all the control panels if people want, but will not likely run them again... :)
