I have a mortal kombat 2 dedicated for sale. Just got the hantarex polo chassis rebuilt by Chad at Arcadecup. It is rev 3.1. I would rate the machine 8out of 10. I dont have back door for it. But one could be made easily. $450.00.

Is that a repro CPO? Never seen one with the moves on sticks/buttons like that. Pretty cool looking.

I know its a first for me as I have never seen one like that either. This was a conversion to a umk3 and I decided to turn it back to a dedicated mk2, when i took the umk3 cpo off that was what was under it. So I dont think it was a repo, just a rare print.

I've seen both on ebay, I always found the one you got to be kind of aesthetically unpleasant.

I'd never seen one like that IRL, though in all fairness most of the MK2 machines I played on (including my family's, which was a converted NARC) weren't dedicated.

I did the same thing with my KI, turning it back from a black generic Tekken 3... kinda cool what you can do with some citristrip and googone huh? :)

good luck with the sale.

The cabinet itself is dedicated and luckily it was not painted, so luckily I did not have to citristrip this one. The control panel on the other hand may be from a kit.

i have that same CPO on my MKI..its a dedicated MKI with MKII boards in it and that pretty much same CPO...i bet it was a kit..i like it.

mine is a full dedicated and my cpo dont look like that... free bump .. nice price

My dedicated that im keeping and an extra mk2 dedicated cab I have to build a mame cab dont have that same cpo either but thats not to say its not a limited run cpo. It could however been a replacement cpo due to the original getting messed up or something. But either way i dont think it matters as far as the design, heck if it came down to someone wanting the other kind i could swap it out from one of the other mk 2 cabs i have.

That CP with the icons is cool. My guess would be that it was an Internationalized version of the CPO. Do all the other ones look like this with English? If so, then that is most likely the case.

My other 2 Mortal Kombat 2's have the same overlay as in this picture and every other dedicated mk 2 ive seen did aswell. The one I had for sale is a first for me. But I think mamemarquees.com has a scan of it.

It seems very possible Midway did it for non-English speaking countries. Either way, glad it sold. :)
