FS: Millipede, SFIII, Golden Tee '05, MsPac/Galaga Class of '81, and more in Katy, TX
Just a heads up for anyone who might be interested. I bought a Neo Geo from a guy here in Katy (just outside of Houston), who had a bunch of other games for sell. A few of them are up on CL already, but as of now, he hasn't listed them all yet. See what he has listed currently here.
All cabinets had some worn off paint in places (mostly looked like from being moved/loaded into a truck/etc), but overall looked pretty nice. I didn't see any burn in on any of the monitors and, while most of them had some general ware, they were all in pretty good shape overall.
Here's what I saw:
Street Fighter EX2: Monitor was blurry (may just need to be adjusted, or it may just need a cap kit). Cabinet seemed decent, though I think the CP may have had some damage. Marquee looks a bit faded and is rippled, but otherwise not too bad.
Street Fighter III: Monitor was nice. Couldn't see side art. CP/plexi was nice overall.
Golden Tee 2005: Overall pretty damn nice. The top marquee works, but is missing the cover. From what I saw, the cabinet has little to no damage of any kind.
NBA Showtime / NFL Blitz: Overall very nice. Monitor was good and all artwork look intact.
Millipede: Monitor looked VERY nice - no burn in or anything and the picture was very crisp. The marquee had a bit of damage and was was faced, but the side were damn NICE. Everything looked original to me, though I'm not expert on the classics, I'll admit. I'd say this is the one people will be after, though.
Ms. Pac-Man / Galaga: Class of 1981: Damage around the coin door, but otherwise very nice.
Some sort of 80's multi arcade: Sorry, didn't pay enough attention to which games were on here since he didn't turn it on. From what I saw, it looked nice.
The seller, Monty, was VERY nice. Hell, he even helped me load the Neo in the truck. We talked for probably a good half hour or more while he let me check things out. I didn't try to pull all the games out to look at them more, so I couldn't get better pics than what I have below. Regardless, I'd definitely recommend him to anyone who might want any of these games.
I wish the pics were better. I let my wife take them...I thought she got better close ups, but apparently not...
