FS: Lunar Lander & Missile Command Control Panel (add your name NOW)

I'm opening up "pre-sales" on the Lunar Lander control panel and Missile Command (upright, no cockpit yet) control panel. However, I am NOT accepting cash at this point in time. I just need your name/address via PM and I will notify you as soon as these are ready to ship next month. That's right, you got it!! NO MONEY TO BE PRE-PAID.

I finished cutting the metal blanks for both of these control panels and I just began the screening process as of today. Both of these items have been in the works for years and now that a few key projects have been completed, these couple are being fast-tracked to be completed as well. I'm getting some excellent pricing on my materials as of late, so I'm passing this savings onto you guys.

About the Lunar Lander control panel. Precision cut from 16GA cold rolled steel sheet metal, powder coated, artwork directly screened onto panel and BAKED on. Includes integrated hinge. Also includes brand new repro mission select panel (plexi) and brand new repro wood base for the mission select panel. This is 100% compatible with OEM games. Just drop it in and go!! Your price is $80 shipped to any destination on the planet! Multiples are $80ea.

About the Missile Command control panel. Precision cut from 16GA cold rolled steel sheet metal, powder coated, artwork directly screened onto panel and BAKED on. Includes integrated hinge. This is 100% compatible with OEM games. Just drop it in and go!! Your price is $75 shipped to any destination on the planet! Multiples are $75ea.

Yes, you read those prices right. You'll be getting artwork screened directly onto the METAL PANELS for those prices! These are essentially just like the OEM Atari panels. No control panel overlays. Instead, the artwork is directly screened to the metal control panels.

If you want either of these at the price listed, you need to send a PM to me by the end of this month with your full name and address, otherwise you lose out on the price. I fully expect that if you send a PM and I add your name to the list that you will purchase one when I announce the availability next month. Agreed? Good.

Enjoy and watch for more cool items from RAM Controls!!

I like the idea of my repro parts helping to entice people to make purchases of whole machines. This is only the tip of the iceberg. I made some sweeping changes over here in the last few days and it's added some new manufacturing processes to my line-up. So, watch for all the new stuff I'll be producing. I hope to keep a flow of these single items going while I quietly work on the more complicated multi-part projects. That should keep it fun and interesting for everyone.

What?! These make me want to go out and buy a game.

Watch for Asteroids, Asteroids Deluxe, Battlezone and Red Baron in the somewhat near future. Metal is cut, but I've got these on the back-burner while I squeeze these other ones out the door first. :)

If you ever get to Battlezone control panels I'll buy one(or two). ;)

Metal control panels for Asteroids DX and Red Baron?! Wow! I can't wait to see those...

I really have to say thank you to everyone who's already PM'd or emailed about these control panels. I knew you wanted them, but wow!! Just WOW!!! It's a good thing I'm doing these in overkill mode, so we're good for a long time. I've responded to everyone who's checked in with their interest.

Dude! That is awesome!
I wish I had either of those games, I would buy one for each.
Dave, How do you do it man? Those prices are dirt cheap.
I'm looking forward to seeing the quality of these things.

Actually, I was going on and on about how I "do" it and then decided to cut the entire post. I don't know if I should be giving away my secrets. :) I'll go with this, instead....

As soon as I have these ready to ship, you guys can count on a load of close-up pics. Naturally, they will be of utmost quality. I won't *ever* skimp on materials or craftsmanship. I think I've made that painfully clear over the last few years.

What I'm working on now is getting some varied and continuous product to market QUICKLY while I work on the more complicated projects in the background - this way, something is always going on which may keep the interest alive. I noticed that when I spent 100% of my free time on the "oh-my-god-it's-taking-forever" projects, nothing else was happening. It looked like nothing at all was really progressing. So, now I'm devoting some of that time toward the relatively, and excuse me for saying this, simple projects that require much less of my time and brain-power.

So, watch for all the goodies as I complete them. I'd still like 2010 to be one of those years that we can look back on and say, "wow, we got a ton of COOL repro parts back then!"

I just bought an overlay from Darin, but gawsh darn it I will commit to one of these also please (LL only)

I am in :)

Any idea when the rest of the mission control parts will be manufactured Dave?

PM Sent!

I've been trying to time the release of all of these parts together (or near the same time):

LL thrust controller
LL control panel with artwork screened onto it
LL mission select panel
LL mission select panel wood base
LL mission select panel PCB
LL control panel wire harness
LL main wire harness
LL marquee

So far, I can only guarantee the control panel w/artwork, mission select panel and mission select panel wood base for next month (November). The thruster MAY also be available at the same time, but I have one task to complete (kind of hairy by nature) before I can commit to a timeframe. But that one is CLOSE. The PCB, wire harnesses and marquee are all too difficult to tell as of right now. Each one has it's own set of delays, so I won't get into them right now. But they're all being worked on.
