I made a mistake. It's a lunar lander cabinet. Not looking at a KLOV auction, just make an offer. Not looking to part this out and only selling as a whole. Monitor has an issue, game plays blind. Cabinet is a tight 8 out of 10 IMO. Needs new T-Molding definately. Owl coin door. Asteroids card board bezel and plastic bezel is included but was taken off so i could clean the CP.

-Thanks to 7766aaron for pointing this out BTW (i hope i got your logon name correctly)

Apparently you don't know this fact: The first run of Asteroids machines were in Lunar Lander cabinets. Lunar Lander was not a "great" seller for Atari, and when they went to start production on Asteroids, they had cabinets with Lunar Lander sideart already on them. I would be willing to bet that this is a FACTORY Asteroids machine with Lunar Lander sideart. To convert it into a Lunar Lander would be a mistake in my opinion. I don't know "Exactly" how many of them were made like this (probably 100-150 units), but it is how the FIRST run of Asteroids were shipped. You need to check your serial number tag and your boardset to see what the production number is. To the right buyer, it would be worth MORE as-is than converted into a Lunar Lander!

The serial number is.......proto-1 :)
Yeah, if thats a factory machine it definitly needs to go to a collector. That CP has no wear at all, is it original or an overlay?

Serial #1622 is prob a conversion, Not a factory Asteroids. Only the first 200 Asteroids came out in Lunar Lander cabs. My Lunar Lander was the same as this machine, someone converted it to Asteroids before I converted it back. My serial # is around 600. Its a early lander but was not a factory release either.

It makes sence that they converted these, Asteroids was in the came cab, Same monitor as the first 18000 asteroids. Asteroids made way more money than Lunar Lander. Caused a quarter shortage!!

Serial # is LL-1226. Made a misread.

CP is original. Very nice and has cleaned up nice so far. Haven't done the button clean up.

Can the wiring harness from a LL be hacked to play Asteroids?
