The game works great. Side art is complete and in good condition. The cabinet is solid with minor corner damage on the front bottom left. The marquee art was broken when I got it and I replaced it with a NOS one. I also did a tube swap so the game displays nice and clear.

As far as I know, the PCB doesn't suffer from the infamous audio failure. No cap leakage on the audio board. When I first got it, it was having sound issues, but I found out it was a problem with the Stereo wiring (hacked up) and the JAMMA connector not seating straight and sturdy on the PCB. I connected the speakers via the JAMMA wiring instead so it now outputs clearly in Mono.

Comes with the original manual and some extra CP decals.

$500 OBO. PENDING.

Sad to see it go as it's a nice condition machine, I've seen it in person.
Good luck with the sale!

I'd like to find a nice non-working one just like that. To me it would be the best "out of the box" Mame machine since it's 4 players and 3 buttons per player. Perfect for games like X-Men but also for the NBA Jam series.

I've currently got mine in a Spider Man cab but with only 2-buttons per player it's sub-optimal.

Anyway, nice looking machine. Good luck with the sale.

Shame on you John!!! MAME an Xmen?
It's also why I got a Golden Axe RODA, I put a spiderman board in it to swap games. I still have the 3 buttons. I may build adaptors one day so that I can plug in Konami boards into my Golden Axe and play that way.

Eh, it would be plug-n-play so it would be easy to just plug the old board back in. I don't hack up the control panel or anything. In fact, the ones I've done I just leave the board where it sits so I can sell the game complete later if I feel like it. Plus I have no emotional attachment to X-Men anyway since I never played it bitd. :)

I've seen Jehuie's MAME cabs and they look great. You wouldn't even know his Spider-Man was a MAME cab unless you looked inside. Like he said, I think it's okay as long as you maintain the original wiring to switch back as you please.

Though, to increase versatility, I think a 6-button per player setup is better than restricting yourself to 3-buttons per player. In order to include Neo Geo and Capcom fighters if that's your cup of tea. Though, I can see the appeal of having a 4P MAME cab.

Also, just to mention, this sale is actually still pending due to some further discussion with my wife (to see if I really need to sell it) as well as the prospective buyer (who isn't desperate for it). Stay tuned. :)
