FS in SC: TRON, DDK, Ms Pac Cabaret, BT CT, Jukes & More

Well it seems the time has come for me to post the dreaded "I'm taking a break from arcades" FS post. Long story short, due to an unexpected bump on the road of life, I find myself needing to simplify and pare things down substantially. As a result ALL of my arcade and jukebox collection (with the exception of Robotron - I will NEVER sell that one) is now up for sale. Prices listed are somewhat negotiable, but not looking to make any firesale deals on these. Posting here prior to the local CL (and the associated hassles inherent therein). If you are interested in something or need more info, pm me.

TRON - SOLD
This machine is in good physical shape with typical 30 year-old cosmetic wear on the side art Bezel, translight, marquee and CP are in good condition. Game was functions PERFECTLY right up until today. The screen is now garbled (see pics for before and after shots). Not sure what happened as the game still powers up. Have not looked into what the issue may be. Game includes a complete spare joystick assembly with blue handle. Currently has the aftermarket Encom marquee installed, but I have a nice original regular glass marquee that can be swapped out if desired.

Double Donkey Kong - SOLD
This is probably one of the cleanest cabinets overall that I have ever owned. The inside is SPOTLESS. 20 EZ monitor has been recapped and is clean enough to eat off of. I replaced the CP, buffed out the buttons and installed a new instruction card. Marquee was purchased new. This machine has the original Japanese marquee light. I purchased the bulbs and starters online to fit the original light. Thought it was cool to have that in there. Game is running on the Double DK (Donkey Kong & DK Jr) board mod with the High Score Save Kit installed.

Burgertime Cocktail - SOLD
This game is in great overall condition. It does have a cardboard underlay and is missing the shield that covers the power transformers. As a result of the latter there is some minor distortion (slight shimmering) of the on-screen graphics when the monitor is lowered in place. This issue disappears when the monitor is raised a few inches away from the transformers. Player one Pepper button is a bit faded and the CPO on that side could be replaced. Player 2 CPO and Pepper button are in good shape.

Ms Pac-Man Cabaret - SOLD
This game is running the 96-in-1 Multi-pac by Mike Doyle. The game is in good overall shape. CPO arwork needs to be replaced and there is small section of the vinyl missing on the right hand side and another scratch under the CP.

Two more games to add to the list.

Deco Cassette Burgertime CT - $300
This is a pretty rare system. You can search for "DECO Cassette" and see the previous discussion on the cassette system. Since the tape decks that I had did not work, I sold them and the cassette/dongle pairs to another DECO collector. Prior to doing that, this game would load the start-up screen (indicating that the boardset is good), but would not begin to load the game (indicating bad tape deck as mentioned above). There is ongoing discussion over at the Arcade Projects forum (http://www.arcade-projects.com/forums/index.php?thread/39-deco-multigame/) about the development of a multigame solution to the cassette error issues. I was holding onto this CT in the hopes that would come to fruition, but if somebody is looking for a working DECO boardset in the cocktail format, here it is. Does not have a monitor.

Data East (DECO) Astro Fighter Super Mini - SOLD
This a a pretty rare micro format cab with a working Astro Fighter boardset in it. The original 13" had a blown flyback and I was unable to relocate a new one or a replacement monitor. The original monitor comes with this game, but is still in need of a flyback. The P1 & P2 buttons on the CP need to be replaced, but the joystick and fire buttons function perfectly. The bezel has a crack it in where somebody overtightened the mounting screw. I test the game using a 19" monitor and it played and sounded great. I ordered and installed some red 5/8" T-molding, but still need about 8' to finish that project. Repro bezel and CPO are available from Joe Szabo on Facebook.

Finally, also have a Dig Dug UR FS - SOLD
Game is in average cosmetic condition. There is some flaking and minor water damage to the bottom edge of the side panels, but nothing touched the floor or internal parts. Game plays and sounds perfect. Monitor has minor burn and needs a cap kit (which I can include as I already bought one just never got around to installing it). I rebuilt the AR-II and PS and adjusted the +5V at the main PCB.

On behalf of Tron fans everywhere, thanks for selling that Tron at a reasonable price.

Hehe can't tell if this is sarcasm or not :) I remember I purchased my first TRON for $400 back in 2009. I think I spent $800 on my second, and paid the $1000 I am asking for this my third one. I shudder to think what my 4th (if I ever get back into collecting) will cost.

Not being sarcastic at all. I'm sick of a $500 project on Craigslist and the owner says "do you know what these go for on eBay?"

We've gotten them for $50, $300, and the most we paid was $350?

Now I haven't seen one for less than $1500.

There's more work that goes into these just because all the crap you gotta do. $1000 for a working one is a GREAT start.

Congrats on the mighty quick turnaround there! Hope things level out.

I think he's dogging you for erasing the history of the original asking price after the sale. If so, I agree. It's good info for posterity and I hate when people erase it.

Can't combat those overpriced Trons if people don't see a history of them selling for reasonable prices.

That's a nice haul and a quick sale!

It seems to take me forever to sell crappy games with tire kickers and a bunch of back and forth stuff.

Good job!
