Hey davez, your GnG board looks like a bootleg. The legit boards have a big epoxy block with "CAPCOM" engraved on them.

My Grand Prix Star boards are considered 'rare' and are also very popular in Japan. They sold for $25 on ebay.

It's been a while since I pulled my ghosts and goblins board but I thought it was likt the one he's selling and did not have a big block with cap com on it. Although the PCB did have capcom or whatever screened on the board. On the other hand Ghouls and Ghosts does have the big black block with capcom on it as you describe. Two different games though. Personally I would look for identifying marks on the board though to assure it's not a bootleg. Also I would say on KLOV $120-150 might be the average selling price for a tested working Ghosts and Goblins board. I'm sure some would pay more but I'm pretty sure I've seen them sell here around $150 on average when they pop up. Untested I would think might be a bit less.

Not the same big black block. You're probably talking about the surface mounted GPU on the C-board. All the GnGoblins original boards have the big block (custom chip), and in this bootleg board (it's a bootleg, believe me) has been replaced by a piggy little board.

yah i think u guys are right, must be a bootleg because it doesnt display capcom no where on the pcb, also i have been finding ALOT of bootlegs in the lot of pcb's that i picked up from this OP

Were they untested? Seems like Grand Prix Star boards would be worth alot more
Fully tested, fully working, audio board, harness etc. Some guy here actually bought them. If I remember right it was $50 total with shipping or something ridiculous like that.

What was the deal with the Romstar version of Ghost n Goblins? I have a harness that came out of a Romstar version of Ghost n Goblins (was in a DK cab), not sure if it would help you. I could take some pics later after I get home?
