FS: Nintendo Popeye - SF Bay Area

I'm selling this on behalf of Noah (POSFORNJKI). He bought this from me months ago, but was never able to haul it away as he did not have the means of transporting it at the time. Since then, he had an unfortunate back injury, had to take time off work and is unable to pick up/move heavy objects. Hence, the cabinet has been in my possession ever since until he would be well enough to move games. Due to some unforeseen circumstances related to his injury and living situation, he now needs to raise funds quickly which is why he's decided to let this one go despite never having it in his possession.

SOLD!!!

Thanks!

I would love to take a weekend trip down to San Luis Obispo, but that's not happening anytime soon with a new baby in the house. I would have totally considered it though. :D

wow VERY GOOD PRICE for this... someone should snatch this up quick!

i wish there was more love for popeye its such a CLASSIC fun game!
just looking at the cab art its so cool!

Nope. I was originally asking $350. If I can't sell it for $300, I'm keeping it. I can find a way to squeeze in another game. :D

I agree, Jess. Don't sell for less than $300. A good working Popeye is totally worth that. I'll never sell mine. I really enjoy play it, it's a nice break from the DK madness. :)

Thanks John. Yeah, I'm pretty firm on the price. At this point, it looks as though it's here to stay. But I'm totally cool with that. I'm the only one that plays the game, but I heard that it's pretty common that most Popeye owners are the only ones who really play it. It gets no love. Am I wrong?

Popeye is a great game to have around for the sounds. Every arcade needs popeye playing in the background. It just gets old real quick.

I do like the game though.

I am glad I sold my cocktail, but I would like an upright again, someday.

Hey Jess, hows that Mario Bros coming along?

Andrew

Slowly. I haven't had much time to work on restoration projects since the baby arrived, but I did manage to strip the old CPO off. Just need to take some brake cleaner and steel wool to it, prime it and apply the new CPO. The cabinet is going to take some work as far as patching/sanding/painting, but it's solid. I hope to have it minty (minus the side art) by the time CAX rolls around. It's one of the games I'm bringing. The MBWB that was there last year wasn't even working which was sad.
