FS/ FT Marvel VS Capcom 2 Rev A

free bump for a cool seller... im about to buy this just cause he deserves the sale.... even though I already own this game lol….

I read somewhere that you can make MVC2 work on a JVS as well, you don't NEED the Capcom I/O. except everyone on forums are all talk and can never share the answers, thus defeating the purpose for discussing about it.

I guess you'll have to do what I did and just start grounding wires to find what inputs light up in test mode lol which is bad, cause some of those wires carry power too!... but yeah, you do that, you can save a lot of money by just buying the cart, except you'd need to have a JVS setup and a NAOMI main board... I suppose not everyone has the luxury of being stuck with a World Series Baseball and a Virtua Tennis like I was. :p

EDIT: I think I found where the extra inputs (kick harness) hook up at here: http://forum.arcadeotaku.com/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=3256

Naomi forums are completly useless! You are so right about that. I've looked everywhere for infos about hooking up the extra kick for MVC2 on a stock naomi2 setup, and i can only find obscure posts from guys saying they've done it, but not saying how. I even purchased a capcom i/o, and i can't really figure out how, or where to swap it.

There's a huge lack of info on that system. Oh well, my machine has vf4 in it :S

edit: holy crap, actual info! thanks mecha

you use a CPS2 kick harness on the Capcom I/O for the kicks. isn't that weird? at least they retained some semblance of a standard lol

you plug your power adapters from the Capcom I/O to the main, audio, video, and USB input cabling, and you just feed it a JAMMA harness with a power supply wired up and it does all the voltage conversions for you. it outputs +5 and 3.3 like dead-on 5.00 and 3.30 on its own, so long as you have a healthy power supply. and then the kick harness goes into the white block plug.

done.

Capcom I/O's awesome, but if you have an existing JVS you should be able to do the same thing. the Capcom I/O is more like a JAMMA retrofit kit that does everything for you, hence why it costs so much.

Agree, its a lot easier just getting a Capcom I/O and a CPS2 Kick Harness.

"Sale things"
"That's life"

You are as literate as you are tactful, my friend.

Here are some facts -
MvC2 is still listed on import/export sites for 20K Yen and up (that's ~$240USD).
MvC2 sells on Ebay reliable for over $200.
Jumping into a sales thread and claiming the value should be cheaper "because it's not ebay" doesn't help him sell the item.

You owe this guy an apology - not a lecture on how he's a shite salesman because his prices are too high.

Wow, after shitting on my thread for the price I was asking you step in here and pretend your helping this guy out. You are just a hypocritical troll. You even quoted "ebay" after all your shit talk about it my thread. Supasaru, you are truly a piece of garbage.

OMG this thread has gone supernova. With people selling their stuff though here, or others saying I'm spiking a price, and still others going between sites now trolling threads you had nothing to do with.

I'm not sure what he did to you, but the fact that you went out of your way to find him here (of all places) is amazing. Looking at your post count.... wow. 2. TWO. TWO FUCKING POSTS, and one of them is to make a hurtful comment to him in the middle of nowhere on the internet. You sir, are the Terminator of post making, and Supasaru is your Sarah Connor. Jesus, give it a rest.

Also, as to not harm this thread (lol) any further, if I had a Naomi and was looking for this game, I would be a fool if I expected to pay lower than 200 dollars. I would go in expecting that to be the price. Like it or not, the game has sold solid for years and years. Hell, I bought a full kit of this back in the day for $800. I think that people feel the game is losing value now that MvsC3 is out, but I don't think that's actually happening. Two very different games.

Didn't go out of my way to find anything.. He posted a link to this thread over at Neo-geo.com.

I never crapped on your price. Get your gears working.

I crapped on you stating that Ebay was the definitive source of the price of everything! Ya, that's what you said - see how dumb that sounds?

But now that you want to make bizarre claims against it - Grand Master Challenge isn't worth $499 or whatever you tried to sell it for. I'll send you pictures of my board when it gets here. :)

Meh... you're on KLOV now. If you intend to stay here for any amount of time claiming that Ebay is the Parliament of Prices...... the KLOVers will eat you alive worse than I ever could.

Hi, mecha!

I have a cabinet at home using the Sega IO with 6 buttons.

You were looking in the wrong place - you can use 6 buttons with the default Sega IO. The kick harness connector is similar to the one you pictured - if you're using the JAMMA version you need to move a dip switch. It's on the right hand side of the card. I can't remember, but I can look it up for you later if you remind me.

Here's a picture from (*drumroll*).....

Some games (CvS2) won't even boot if you don't have the 6th button enabled on the Sega IO or a Capcom IO.

Dude, that pic's the size of stevetren's wiener. Make it bigger?

This statement is incorrect. I'm sorry Rainbo. Get your facts right. The simple fact of the matter isn't the size of his "wiener". It's the size of her clit.

Now on to more pressing matters. Please let my waste of a sales thread continue.

very good sir. I was very confused about the 5 or 6 button jumper on that (likewise with the Sega JAMMA I/O, not the Capcom kind) wondering if that's 5-6 buttons per player or if it was total. lol I had MVC2, and I'm done with that now. it wasn't the massive money maker I thought it would be.

get a lot of kids these days playing my beautiful MK2 however... of all my fighting games that one's consistently done the best (for a novelty item, not anything like our redemption games pull in) of all of my collection. I had MVC2 in a friggin 33" showcase and it still didn't generate as much as I'd hoped.

so while the going price was still decent I punted on it. I needed money to pay for my wedding. what a way to go. lol

Wow...just wow on the repeated thread crappings.

If this were my thread I'd have lost it long ago, or at least asked the mods to remove all this shit in here.

If you're not interested in buying, or don't have something positive to add to a thread in this section, go the f**k away!

It would not be out of line to be asking $250 for this, and it doesn't matter what any of you others paid for yours...consider yourself lucky and STFU.
