A lot of times you can buy the complete cabinet for around the same price of the board/hardware alone.
A great example of this are Killer Instinct cabs. I've seen complete cabs go for less or the same as some dudes try to sell the boards for. The difference is the complete cab won't be appealing for a lot of people, they just want the board in their own cab.

ive got powerstone and project justice but i dont need marvel vs capcom 2.... make other offers for my carts. im looking for any good jamma boards not really naomi as my collection is pretty filled on that... perhaps some cps2 or jamma titles.

This guy has been trying to sale this game for months and it hasn't moved. I even offered him $150, but he wanted a at least $175 for it. If he can't sale it on Ebay for $200, I feel your chances will be slim on KLOV selling it for the same price since we tend to go cheaper here.

i paid 200 for my mvc2 cart. i got it on neo-geo forums. A little patience and it will sell for his asking price.

Do you guys have no respect for beefy's sales thread? I mean seriously. If he were insanely off the mark then yes, I understand a bit of guidance on the pricing, but he's got it at a fair price, and you're all being jerks. Attempted sales/purchases of other people's items, rude offers in-thread instead of PM'ed, come on guys, you're adults, show some restraint and some respect.

sammy i may have worded my post wrong. i agree with his pricing and am not bashing at all so i hope youre not talking about me. i resepect you on the neo forums im on there as L2yan00 i stated i paid what hes asking for and the only reason i commented was to back him up against the haters. sorry if i came off wrong. i also posted in here in regards to a trade.

Dang I actually only have 246 stuff and naomi stuff at the moment. I wish I had the goods to trade off. I would love to get a hold of both of those carts.

I don't think anyone posting here will hurt his sale. That's kind of dumb logic ,if someone wants something they will pay for it no matter what anyone says if its within thier means. I made him a offer and I just showed why I made that offer. I didn't insult him, I was trying to help him sale it quicker. I wasn't sure he wanted to sit on this game for months.

Thanks for "trying to help" but a PM would have been fine on the price if you thought it was high. When you continue to offer less than what I was asking ok again sure, but you went out of your way to let everyone know you got a whole system for less than I was asking. Even going so far to post pictures of your "haul". How does that help anyone besides you?

You deciding that he didn't want to "sit on this game for months" is really unfair. MvC2 goes for prices all over the board - I've seen the cart alone sell for $300 and then $120 the very next day.
It probably would've been wisest to PM him and/or just leave it alone. You personally should never decide the value of someone's item(s) for them. Pretty lousy of you.

I know the market value of the game, it's stood that way for the last 10 years, as previously stated. there comes a point where you should just keep your little deal to yourself, especially in someone else's sale thread.

Doesn't matter to me. I'm here to sale and buy things to people who like to collect and want to help other collectors. If I want to pay Ebay prices, I'll go to Ebay. If I posted a pic of the game and said I paid $400 dollars for it, he would of loved me. Sorry if I ruined your sales thread, but that's life, just make another thread and try again. Don't beat me up just because it hasn't sold, if its worth $200 it will sale right? so don't worry.

Here are some facts -
MvC2 is still listed on import/export sites for 20K Yen and up (that's ~$240USD).
MvC2 sells on Ebay reliable for over $200.
Jumping into a sales thread and claiming the value should be cheaper "because it's not ebay" doesn't help him sell the item.
You owe this guy an apology - not a lecture on how he's a shite salesman because his prices are too high.
