This was part of a bulk-buy that I did a few months back from a private owner (non-collector). It went straight into storage where it sat until now. As I already have another Defender, it's time to reclaim that storage space!
The game works, the sounds all work, the controls all work, and it passes the ROM/RAM/CMOS tests. The UR cabinet is solid, no water damage, and has the usual nicks and dings. The CPO could stand to be replaced as there are a few cuts and deformations from cigarettes (the usual) but is otherwise complete. The bend that you see in the photos was after it had been in the sun for awhile; either way, I'd still replace or at least re-glue it.
The silver coin door is in very good shape. The back door is original, in good condition, and still has the back-door sheet intact and stapled to the door. The bottom of the cab is clean as is the PCB set (different S/N's though).
Assume that you'll want to cap the monitor since black isn't quite black and the green looks overdriven - but the picture is stable and focused. Also, I noticed that I had to kick the game out of bookkeeping mode every time I power-cycled it, so assume the "AA"s are dead.
I've done absolutely no work to this game as I've had nowhere to stash it. I ran it almost non-stop over the weekend w/o any problems.
$450 to KLOV'ers coming to town for CGE or to pick-up the remains of Brentradio's barcade!
I'm also willing to work out a deal for a good-condition Robotron UR. PM me if interested.
