FS/FT: Astron Belt/Galaxy Ranger - Price Reduced!
For Sale/Trade - A fully working, restored Astron Belt/Galaxy Ranger
-----------------------------------------------------------------
(Kansas City metro area)
Both Astron Belt and Galaxy Ranger are hard to find laserdisc arcade games, so here is your change to own one!
*** REVISED ***
***** Price reduced to $400 ****** Plus, as later post show I will include some extra AB/GR parts, extra other game parts, & some Wi-Fi/Router stuff too!
The cabinet and all parts are Galaxy Ranger, except for the ROMs, LaserDisc, Bezel (printed repro) and Marquee, which are currently Astron Belt. The buyer can choose which game they could prefer it be (Astron Belt or Galaxy Ranger). I have all of those comparable parts for Galaxy Ranger, except for the printed repro bezel, which I am working on getting made.
When I received this game it was not much more than wood. I have researched and acquired all original parts to restore this game to it's former glory. The pictures show all of the parts and the game plays great! I encourage potential buyers to come and play it for themselves. I made every effort to restore it to match how it originally looked, played, etc.
All lights work, the t-molding is new and the monitor was capped last week. There is some burn-in on the monitor (G07), but it's not noticeable during game play. The back door and laserdisc player drawer are new. I used my existing Astron Belt laserdisc player tray to create a near copy, so it is like the original. However, I do not have the metal bars for the drawer, but it doesn't impact play in any way. The drawer locking mechanism is included, but not yet installed when these pics were taken. The exhaust fan also works.
The laserdisc player is one of the two original models shipped with this game and works great. The laserdisc player exterior has some paint splatter from the previous op owner. I haven't tried cleaning it, so it may come off. The paper in the front coin door is simply to keep it closed during pics, since no locks are currently installed.
The cabinet does have some mild water damage, as can be seen in some of the pictures showing the bottom edge of the cabinet. However, it doesn't impact the game play and the cabinet is solid. It was re-enforced along the bottom inside. The wooden slates that may be shown in the pics are simply to lift the game off the floor during restoration and to prevent water/snow during the winter. If the buyer wants Galaxy Ranger, then the included Galaxy Ranger laserdisc is slightly warped, but does play. However, I still recommend replacing it (NOS show-up on ebay often). I am advertising for a replacement currently on KLOV and DLP.
I will provide additional pics for any serious inquiries. This can be shipped if you make ALL arrangements, but I will not pallet, crate or wrap it. Otherwise, local pick-up is preferred, so the new owner can play it first. The May 2 Grandview (Kansas City) auction is coming-up and I am only 10 minutes from the auction site, so pick-up is easy.
