FS/FREE if Pickup: Atari Heavy Sixer and Light Sixer for Parts
Greetings All,
First post here, hopefully it's a good one. I have an Atari Heavy Sixer and a Light Sixer for free, just pay for shipping and packing materials. Since I'm new, I'd be willing to ship first, but would of course want some positive feedback if you're satisfied.
The heavy sixer worked somewhat decently last time I tried it. The left controller port has a broken pin #4, and the game select and reset switches do not have springs. Also, it looks like a drink was spilled inside of it some years ago. Other than that, I don't believe it has any issues.
The light sixer has no game reset or game select switches. The last (and only) time I tried to use it I got no video. However, when I recently opened it up, it looked like the RF cable was loose. I'm not sure how that could have happened, but I'm also not sure if that's the only problem.
Both of these have been opened by me. I pulled the game reset and select switches out of both. Only the heavy had them replaced because I needed the two from the light. Also, I was going to swap controller ports on the heavy and light, but wasn't comfortable working with the board on the heavy so I ended up not swapping them (smaller solder area on the pins on the heavy). Naturally, both are being offered as-is.
Checking the USPS website, it looks like the Heavy will run about $22 for shipping and packing materials and the light will be around $20. If you're interested in checking for yourself, I'm using 6 pounds for the heavy and 5 for the light. Ship from zip code is 87116. If you have any questions, want pictures, or want me to just take parts out and send them your way, that's fine by me.
David
