Selling a Mortal Kombat 4 Revision 1 PCB working 100%. You read it correctly... -REV 1-.

This is more beta than anything else, but it's the 1st official release of the game. Not many of these exist or can be found for sale.

$350 shipped or make offer.

Thank you

Ah..so you're the one I've been trying to convince to get this board dumped to MAME to preserve it, or send it to any of us on here who have a Eprom burner capable of reading and copying these 16MB roms to send to MAME.

Take care -

I understand most people on this site are not for MAME, but for MK fans like myself and many others who love the franchise, these rare boards should be dumped in my opinion - to preserve them.

If he's not for MAME I wish he'd at least allow the eproms for the 1.0 Revision to be copied for purchase to members here. To be honest, this is the only 1.0 Board I've seen available just imagine if it was a rare Pac Man/Galaga/Space Invaders, etc board that is slowly disappearing..wouldn't you like to see it preserved? Look at Zenomorp - he had the RAREST MK board hands down, the Turbo Ninja 3.1 board and sent it in to have it dumped after years of looking for it, so others could play it instead of just reading about it online. So thanks to him I have the eproms in my MK 5.0 T Unit board allowing me to enjoy this rare version in my Mortal Kombat arcade cabinet.

And to see I'm an MK fan you can simply look at my collection :)

I understand your cause. So why dont you just buy the board and you can do what you want with it.

So stop being a cheap bastard ;), buy the thing, get your ROMS, then turn around and sell it to recoup your cash.

If it was more affordable I would, but with my newborn and my recent surgery $ is tight and I can't justify paying that much on a PCB board, let alone one on my least favorite MK game of the franchise.

For instance, Zenomorp who had the Rare MK Turbo Ninja board I believe got it for $125 or so, over $200 less than this highly less popular MK version and I paid $43 shipped for my MK4 3.0 PCB board. I'm all about preserving these rare versions, and if I had it I'd burn the eproms in a heart beat for anyone wanting them or send the eproms to the MAME devs to dump - but that's just me, not everyone will agree with me or see my side on this you know?

Plus on a side note..this revision out of 12 characters + 3 hidden characters supposedly only has 2 total fatalities, one for Sub Zero and the other for Shinnok.

It's not a matter of how many characters it has or what not...the fact remains that this is an extremely rare board and commands a high price. I don't want to get into a long dialogue here, so if you really want the board I'll drop the price to $265 shipped to make this happen quick.

Anyone else can have it for the same price. Thanks

I have a Rev 1 version of Mortal Kombat 4 that came in my dedicated MK4 cabinet I picked up awhile back. I was going to get Rev. 3 ROMS burned and the guy that was going to do it for me was going to dump the Rev. 1 version so they could be perserved. I could care less about MAME, but I think they should be perserved. I haven't done it yet because of the cost to burn the new Rev. 3 ROMS. Can anyone burn me a set of Rev. 3 ROMS cheaper than the pricey quotes I have already gotten?

What prices have you been quoted?

The cheapest without supplying my own ROMS was $120. With sending in my ROMS, having the images dumped, the ROMS erased and then the Rev. 3 image burnt on my ROMS the cheapest was $60. To go from Rev. 1 to 3 you need to replace all game ROMS plus a graphic ROM too.

Les Just got your message.

I have my family module to burn the 16mb roms on its way for my EMP-20, but if Topless is offering to do it - I'd go with him - he's been around for awhile and he's a standup guy know a few people who have gotten roms from him before. If you're wanting to keep your 1.0 roms as well, I'm sure topless would burn the needed roms for the 3.0 Revision at cost of the eproms - if he can't do that and once I get my family module in I can burn you the eproms for the 3.0 at the cost of the eproms no extra charges.

Talked to the man in Europe who sent in his MK4 Revision 1.0 board in last month to get it dumped and preserved for MAME, so he sent me the images this morning.

Anyone MK fans needing the images for their MAME setup let me know!

Oh guys...how quickly we forgot about Les Manley. See thread below. Maybe DreamTR can chime in....

As for having the roms burned, I'm glad that someone from Europe was cooperative. I certainly was not going to send any board to get burned.

That was all resolved and DreamTR will verify that so I hope he does chime in. I screwed up and didn't ship his stuff out on time. I admitted that and talked to him about it. He did get everything he was supposed to and I even gave him a refund in addition to the items.

I wasn't trying to steal a sale from you, I didn't come in and post the boardset cheaper or anything. I gave your post free bumps and was just trying to get ROMs burned. Turns out a guy from Europe already submitted the Rev. 1 ROMS to MAME so don't blame me for ruining anything.

I'm not blaming you for anything. Just looking out for fellow klovers.. My board will either sale or go back to my collection....so no worries whatsoever

If everything was resolved as you say, my apologies, but based on the thread and your negative review, things look different.

I will remove my post about you pending DreamTr's input.
