Actually he does have a legal responsibility. RAM Controls payments went to Kalan's Paypal account and the goods were not delivered. It was Kalan that received the money for dave.

I guess I missed the part where Kalan took paypal money from Ram Control customers on behalf of Dave ? How did that happen ? I am confused.

From my recollection, Dave's PP account was frozen or removed for some reason (your guess is about as good as mine)...

...and someone stepped up and let Dave use their account. It appears that person may have been Kalan (based solely on what is written here as I am not privy to that info myself).

If that is true, if people could not even send money to Dave because his PP account was frozen, and they were willing to send it to Kalans instead, then I have a real hard time feeling sorry for them. Go look at the MCR PCB thread. A tactic to confuse customers perhaps? I don't know. Stranger things have happened. All I know is that paypal never deletes transaction details. When I checked the transaction his name was all over it. Really dumb move since in the end he will be taking all the heat. The responses sound of desperation. In all honesty this is looking worse and worse every day. My advice is for RAM controls and Kalan or whoever to pay up. There really isn't much time left.

Ok, so Dave just linked Kalans paypal to his website. But you have to admit, if Dave had told someone to send the payment to an alternate account that would be pretty dumb. So in this case it does look like Kalan has some blood on his hands.

Kalan, i'm not trying to get you to send me the board in question that you have. What i want to know, is if that is the board i loaned to dave. I just want my items back FROM DAVE.

I look it at this way. If Dave took payments for starwars cockpits, and knew full well he couldn't produce them, he has some severe money problems. The root of the money problems is all speculation, but it's a safe assumption he's in deep financial trouble to go to the lengths he did to get people's money. If he needs money that bad, why would he not sell parts off that were loaned to him?

It's definately a possibility that he did or he could.

I told him i'd help him out and he would hook me up with products and such. After about a few months or so he was not getting any sales and I refunded $$$ to a few people for him. Like I said I really don't care who refunds the money just as long as I get it back. I don't care about the history all I know is that I essentially paid you and there it is. I don't care what people have received for free or what a great Samaritan you claim to be. The fact of the matter is a payment was made, you received it and I received nothing after 1.5 years and counting.

I would think that legally, because it is Kalans account, and the money went directly to Kalan, that Kalan would be the one to owe it back, not Dave. It would then be up to Kalan to go after Dave for repayment if Kalan could prove he forwarded the money to Dave. I am not lawyer, but I would bet that is how it would play out in court. If your money went to Kalans account and you are going after Dave, I think you are legally barking up the wrong tree.

Then he asked me to send him my Amplifone HV board as there was a discrepancy. I didn't send the HV. But you see the pattern
