Perhaps the MODS should hold off on deleting posts until YOU have more info. We all knew the board was from Dave. We just don't know if it was his to sell to Kalan.

Sorry, unrelated was a bad choice of words. I know the board came from Dave, but it may not be DPtwiz's board, he mentioned Dave having a second board. I can't say I have much faith in that scenario, but we won't know until there's more info. Until DPtwiz gets more communication, it's a bit pointless to continue arguing about it.

And anyway, the deleted posts have to do with someone trying to buy the board and others berating him for it, not the core of the issue.

I would strongly suggest to kalan than until it is clear that he is not selling stolen material that he refrain from accepting payment for anything, both from a forum standpoint and a legal one.

Thanks Fmonk. I appreciate your concern and neutrality in this situation. I have used every means i have to contact dave except sending a letter in the mail. If Kalan visits dave's house, i'm sure he'll answer a phone call from Kalan.

It would be nice (i know he isn't obligated to do so) if Kalan would call or visit dave, and just let him know i would like all my items returned, and once i have them back in my possesion, then the problem over my items would be resolved.

I'll just add that these for sale posts essentially poke a stick in the eye of every single person that has loaned parts or has a pending order.

Get everyone's shit (assembled or disassembled would better than nothing seeing schematics are out there for assembly purposes) and "Kalan714" ships out everyone's crap. In return for your efforts? You save your reputation around here for peddling goods and accepting payments for a known scammer.

I think this website needs to look at the legal side of letting users sell property that is in question of being stolen!!! Ebay does not allow it, On Ebay if there is a good reason to believe that something is stolen property they will pull the auction.

Its a insult to let possible stolen property to be sold here, after the tens, maybe hundreds of thousands of dollar stolen from our brothers here.

I have purchased from Kalan in the past, but he will never see another dime from me. In his other for sale ad he was selling many different boards that he just got from Dave. He made a comment that he didnt know Dave sold Atari Boards on his website. Well Kalan I know of Atari boards that were sold and they never arrived. Do you need the money so bad to sell possible stolen boards???

Hell Kalan see if you can strike a deal with Dave, and get him top run a 50% off of parts that were stolen sale!!!

Probably, since I'll be showing up at his door with the cops in the near future to claim my $250 that was paid to him if this doesn't get taken care of immediately. Now would be a good time to refund that money to me as it only gets worse as time goes on. I've already received a letter from the DA on the matter. Next step is local police.

If you knew anything most of the stuff I get goes to local friends in the hobby and others that are on this site daily to help them out. There are people on KLOV that deal with Dave weekly and that is more than I do. I buy boards from a few different operators that i've been buying from for years. If I knew the stuff was stolen I obviously would'nt have picked it up. I don't like to flip shit, I prefer to trade for items I need to get my games or my friends games up and going. I went to his house to pick up an Assault that was posted on CL for a friend of mine. The boards were there, he offered them to me at a fair price, and I bought them. If anyone of you on this message board saw a Quantum or another rare machine for 100, you would snatch it up in a heartbeat regardless of who it was from. Anyone saying "NO I would'nt" is a liar. DP Now i'm sorry that Dave scammed you out of your boards and god knows what else but why would you send him an untested food fight board in the first place especially after all the threads about him? Thanks Jow for a pretty solid point, I wish you would've been able to grab that 720 from me.

Not that it matters, but here is my whole take in the thing. There were 100s of posts about Dave and how shady he was even during the times people were getting free shit, and stuff was actually shipping. ANYONE who loaned him ANYTHING was crazy in doing so IMO. I'm sorry you all lost out on a ton of shit, but at the same time, its hard to feel bad for those who did this after all of the warning posts talking about how shady he is.

I would stop with the RAM stuff unless you plan on getting the law involved. Its painfully obvious none of you are getting anything back. Ever. Dave is a piece of shit of a human being. The fact that he stole all of this shit, and is too big of a pussy to show face, and resorted to using alias' through email shows it.

So i'm being targeted for knowing dave and picking stuff up from him BUT should KLOV and the people buying and getting free stuff from Dave at Ram Controls be held responsible as well. Knowing that he was taking stuff from people and allowing him to give away, sell, trade and distribute on the forum? How many people on here received free stuff from Dave? How do any of you know that what you received for Free was not stolen property or parts that were purchased and belonged to someone else?

I honestly don't care what is thought of me by most of the people on this site. I have been in the hobby for close to 15 years, made a lot of good friends and continue to make good friends. Its funny to see the PM's I get talking shit about everyone on the form and i'll have to agree with almost all of it. My last FS thread ended on a discussion about turtles for gods sake? I think what people have a problem with here is that you ( Kalan) casually show up at Dave's and buy stuff as if nothing is wrong, as if he has not ripped off anyone, and then offer no insight as to what Dave's situation is. I think people on here that are owed money or parts are just desperate for any kind of info about him they can get. Is it your legal responsibility, not really, as long as that stuff is not someone elses that you are selling. Is it your moral responsibility ? , as a self proclaimed collector for 15 years, I would say yes. You always offer good prices and seem fair. But this time I think you should ask yourself if it is really worth it. In some ways, the damage is done and Dave has your money. You could list what all you just bought from him so people could see if it is potentially theirs. I am not slamming you, don't take this wrong, I am suggesting some options as I hate to see a long time collector like you get on the bad side of the community.

If anything he should be pissed off at Dave for getting him sucked into this if he is not a willing participant. By the responses here I'm now leaning towards willing participant. I will refrain from posting further on the subject when I get a $250 gift (refund) to my paypal account from either Dave or Kalan. I really don't care where it comes from. Actually he does have a legal responsibility. RAM Controls payments went to Kalan's Paypal account and the goods were not delivered. It was Kalan that received the money for dave.
