Checking to see if anyone is interested in an Exidy Side Trak. This game has worked great all the time I've had it. It does have dings at the left and right front corners and the side art was touched-up at some point. Asking $500. Pickup in Phoenix, Arizona or shipping via NAVL or similar.

Each time the player passes the start line on the outside track, the whistle blows and another car is added to your train increasing the points multiplier. The pushbutton allows selecting a higher speed to outrun the computer train, but also gives you less time to select your path.

Very interesting. Care to share some of the details of this beauty? Where did you get it? How long did you own it?

I've had this for almost 10 years and purchased it from John's Jukeboxes in Vancouver.
Back in 1980, a local arcade had one and it was a blast so when I found this I had to get it.
The video screen displays the name as SIDE TRACK, while the marquee says SIDE TRAK.

To complete each screen, you need to maneuver your train through every segment where the flagmen or markers are while avoiding the computer train. Also, when you add many cars to your train, you need to avoid running into yourself which is possible in a small loop. By pressing the joystick in the desired direction just prior to the side track, you select which track you will follow. If the joystick is not moved, then your train follows the existing track pattern.

Wow!!! I haven't seen one of those in 20+ years!!!!

The arcade I used to go to had one of these Bitd. I remember enjoyng quite a bit. Probably relates to the infatuation with trains....

I definitely don't remember hearing a bell though? Maybe, his at the time, was on the fritz....

Damn that's a grail of mine and at an awesome price too... no money, no ability to pick it up. :(

Hey if you could can you take some good, high-res pics of the side art and bezel? It would be awesome to have those files around for vectoring and maybe reproducing it later for restores/conversions, it's rare as hell and uses the same cab as the much more common Crash.

Just discovered both this cool game and this thread today and I have to resurrect it to ask - were any high-resolution photos ever taken (as per Tornadoboy's request)? If so, I'd like to use them in creating a virtual model for the 3dArcade frontend.

I was just up at Funspot today looking at a Crash and thinking of this game, I hope to be able to put together a boardset some day (once came within an inch of getting one off Ebay), I'd still love to see the artwork preserved in some good pics.
