Fs: Edot!

awsome man... must be nice to fork over that kind of money like its nothing... id love to own the edot, i dont have the space first off, but i couldnt bring my self to pay that kinda money for vid or pinball no matter what it is.. but awsome that you sold it....

well....

Luckyman.. Remember. The cool things in life you pay for. I know pinballs and vids are somewhat expensive. But, there's a reason some of this stuff is higher price. No different than cars, homes, collectibles. In KLOV, the members will generally pay for the exotic hard to find stuff. Some of the games are: (ALL Pinball), EDOT, Zoo Keeper, Star Wars, Quantum, Major Havoc, etc... Remember, be happy, spend a little to have some fun. One day, we'll be in a box and wish we could have played some of these.

I agree with barakawins.

Remember Luckyman, you can't take it with you. Personally I would love a DoT or EDOT myself, and I wouldn't pay that either but I CAN understand those that do. It is a rare piece and in good shape it commands a premium price tag.

Personally, if I had the $4k to spend on my games I also would finish my "infrastructure" projects in the basement first. I need to finish the walls , add a ceiling, and more power before I buy any of my Expensive games, but for someone who has the set up and the availability to pay it, why not ?

That very likely may be someone's grail game, and I'm sure they're thrilled to have it in as good of condition as it is, they don't come up too often.

deffinitly!!!

Thanks.

This reminds me - before it ships - i am taking videos! Someday i will want to take another look at those, i know it. Its a unique experience. I am really fortunate to have had the chance to mess around with one - it was a lot of fun working on it, and i think its in much better shape than when i got it in (i have before pics if anyone wants to see them).

Thanks guys. OZUBA! Good to hear from you.

My asking price was derived from exactly what i have into it. I kept a spreadsheet and itemized all orders / parts that went into. Just passing that along for anyone that wants a chance at owning one.

As for a backglass, i understand a real glass may cost 400+, if they can be found. Repros can be had for $200, and i was considering adding it, but decided to sell. If the game doesnt sell here or on Ebay, i will most likely put a repro in, and find some alternative way to free up the space here.

Hi Jonathon, congrats with the sale, it looks in great shape. Could you let us know where you
found the repro backglass for $200?

Thanks!

Dan

Dan, not a backglass - a repro printing (@ 150) from Classic Arcade Grapix. Its one of their best sellers, would just need to be sandwiched between plexi - figured that work for the time being.

I never pursued it because the way i have the game situated, i didnt see the back part, and i put enough into the game already (time and parts wise, call me out of steam for now).

I also have some mails into old rec.game.arcade collecting members that actually repro'd the glass - to see if they have any spares of can put me on a lead - this would be a followup for the person i sold the game too, there may be a way i can find one for him.

I do have a lead on the real glass, but we both felt very scared about shipping it.
