FS: Domino Man (not mine)

I'll be very surprised if someone bites on that price. You don't see many of them, but people aren't beating down the door for them. It's a okay game, and had a shot at one last year...but I passed.

Its definitely a UNIQUE game to have in your collection. I play mine all the time!
Price wise... well you could always make him an offer I guess... Domino Man is a rare one - despite what people might think

Make sure to give Joe a heads up - I think he is looking for one.

Haha. I don't hate the game, like I said in your Domino Man thread, I just didn't get it. I would take a Tapper/Timber before Domino Man, and even then I wouldn't pay $1200 for one.

Hey guys...I might as well chime in. It's my Domino Man. Yes, It's priced high. I'm trying to make a living selling games, and given the state of the market these days it seems rare stuff is the only stuff that has any hope of selling high.

I used to list stuff on eBay at 99 cents no reserve, and trust the bidders to pay what it's worth. That doesn't work anymore. I've had to change my model to pricing high and letting people make offers. That barely works, either. But at least you don't lose your shirt that way.

It worked for this game. I just sold it and got within $150 of my asking price. It only takes one guy in the entire world to be willing to pay the price...and I guess that guy found the auction.

Anyway, my pricing isn't intended to offend anyone here. I really need to get a job and get back to doing the game thing as a hobby. It changes your whole thinking when you have to buy/sell games to put food on the table vs. just buying/selling them for the fun of it.

BTW, I also have a very nice Domino Man cocktail that I would sell for LESS than $1250, if anyone here is interested. PM me with an offer if you have any interest.

Thanks,
John

I know not all of you will appreciate this reasoning, but here is how I look at it. The more I get for my games, the more your games are worth. I'm trying to drive the market up.

I absolutely *LOVE* sellers like those big eBay guys down south that price Dig Dug at $1900 and stuff like that. Because then when I try to sell a Dig Dug for $750, I seem cheap.

I know some of you want the market to be driven down, and I understand that. But if the market completely washes out, it will be bad for the hobby in the long run. Games will be destroyed (by operators and resellers) at a much quicker rate if there is no money in it anymore.

just my 2 cents.

John

I paid over $1000 for mine. Its really nice. I had to ship it, too. But like I said, it was really nice, not too many of them around, and nostalgia factor - I played it a lot as a kid at one of the local pizza parlors. I've had an offer for mine that was $500 over my total price paid + shipping, and I passed. The offer was from a legitimate KLOVer collector. Not some nonsense offer. That offer was open indefinitely as I understood it, but I'm wondering if that person bought yours...

I have a Domino Man with nicer side art and a nicer CPO then the one in the auction. I'd sell mine for half of your asking price. I don't think I played it more then 20 times since I bought it around 5 years ago.

I would consider buying your domino man so it could be a regular at cax, but I would be concerned about shipping...

Do you think Karl(fullthrottle) would make a roadtrip? :)
