I've created the following kit with the arcade game collectors and repair techs in mind. After watching the wanted posts for some time, I noticed a demand/need for some specifc parts. I based my part number choices on this information. This kit should cover some of the basic as well as some of the advanced problems encountered with Atari, Bally/Midway, Taito, Williams, Universal and Gottlieb boards. It won't cover everything, but it will help with making sure you have some of the more difficult parts handy.

Each kit includes ALL of the following parts. I'm asking $115 per kit (shipping included anywhere in the world). If you think my price is out of line or if I am missing some obvious part numbers, please let me know and we can work on the numbers. I tried to keep this kit as close to $100 as possible, hope you guys like the offering.

Maybe a couple of different packages? Like a Nintendo Pack/Williams Pack/Midway Pack?

I've just started collecting, but I find myself focusing only on Nintendo stuff and Midway stuff at the moment.

*bump* Too much money or not enough parts? I'm a big boy, I can take it. LOL

Dave

Maybe scale it down a little bit for those of us that don't do that much pcb work. And I didn't notice if you included any parts related to common cap-kit repairs.

I have 17 games, but don't really even know what spare parts I would need/want to have on hand, based on what you're offering. And I haven't done any repairs on the pcb level yet. Mostly just cosmetic, and wiring repairs. I feel there may be more members here that are like that as well, and not as many on the arcade "tech" level of pcb repair. I'll probably have to do more cap-kits (Nintendo monitors and a G07) than pcb level repairs.

All I know right now is that, from the test settings, my Cloak & Dagger board is telling me I have some bad RAM in a few sockets( 8a, 9b) which is causing a graphic issue. What kind of RAM or other parts would I need to keep on hand to keep this board set running strong?

The only other game I have that I feel may need some backup parts for the pcb would be a Punch-Out! pcb that has some graphics issue.

And what pcb parts should I be concerned with failing in the future in regards to EDOT (Midway) and Mousetrap (Exidy)?

I like the idea of a kit, but this kit covers too wide of a variety of games and years then most people here have. Even if you just stuck with just Bally/Midway games it covers too wide of a variety. Some of the parts only cover one game so shouldn't really be part of a kit.

Maybe game kits? Even if you did it per game some of the parts from the kit could be use on others as well.
