Yeah I wasn't sure about the price. As of right now I could go $300. Its been completely cleaned, painted rewired and new buttons and joysticks. I can't go too low or I won't be able to replace it and thats my main goal.

r-type

just thought ide drop a line and tell you there is someone on Kansas city CL that has been trying to sell there r-type for 200 and its looks to be in excellent shape not sure if its still on but keeps popping on there every couple weeks.

FYI, i sold a contra on ebay in february or march and it sold for 475. so 300 is not out of line, but the only thing that worries me is when you say you repainted it. With what you said you did to it, it would help to put a pic in this post to show it

Just wanted to say that I do believe this is an actual dedicated Contra. I had seen one once before. There has been quite a bit of debate on it in the past. But this one looks exactly like the one I saw IIRC. Cudos on a fairly rare, fairly nice Dedicated machine.

The pictures are of it repainted. I taped up around the side art so I would not damage it. The front had 2 holes in it from a lock bar so I patched it and repainted the front black.

Sorry,
Didn't mean to imply that there was any debate about whether your game was an actual dedicated. A while back, a lot of other members were debating if an actual dedicated version of Contra existed. I said there was, most said it was just a kit. But considering that I had seen one with a konami serial # on the back, I said that there was. And it looked just like yours. I just didn't want to see an old argument flare up about it being dedicated. In fact, it would be nice if we could get your photo up on the KLOV page for contra as there really isn't a good pic of a dedicated cab up on the sight. Again, nice example of a fairly rare specimen.

Also to answer the question if its actually dedicated there is a serial number in the cab.
