FS: Consolized Sammy Atomiswave

Hey guys... this is a FOR SALE thread. Stop shitting on the guys for sale thread. If you want to discuss the pros/cons of consolizing an Atomiswave, take it to the general forum and discuss away. This guy is trying to sell something. If the price is too high, don't buy. Seems pretty simple.

I apologize to the OP on behalf of the thread-crappers in here. This shit isn't cool.

No need to read between the lines.

The only thing I drew issue with was the remark that this item should only cost $120 more than the board itself when the hardware added to this particular piece alone is that. Any of us can see or refer to the difference in price. I've no opinion on that.

At first I didn't think you seen it that way so that is where I broke it down into numbers. You say labor and parts shouldn't cost more then 120 over the original price of an un-modded system. I thought I agreed and that is why I dissected the comment down in my previous post to where it shows that the price of parts and labor to be around 369. That is all I was attempting to do. Christoph1 says he has over 120 just in parts. I can't argue that since I don't know what he has in it. I estimated a 300 asking price based on, price of bare system, parts, and labor that I assumed would be needed for such a project. I should not have assumed as I may of overlooked some expensive parts as well as additional labor time and I apologize to Christoph1 for any insult on my part. It sounds like he may be on track for his asking price after all according to his build comments.

Christoph1, Good luck with the sell and i'm sorry your thread got hijacked the way it did..

I'm a heavy arcade hardware modder myself, so this wasn't just small talk ^^

Just some info to the potential buyers :
if one wants to use an Atomiswave on a HDTV, he better uses the VGA output.
There's no need for a video converter between an Atomiswave and a HDTV set, except maybe if there is some high-end upscaling involved, which is not mentioned.
There is some interest for a SDTV set though (if it has no RGB input).

In my first post, as some guessed, the labor (and know-how) is not included, so it has also to be taken in consideration and be added to the price of the parts and the original motherboard.

About the good quality parts you are talking about, maybe you can post some more details about the ones included in your project, they should speak for themselves : what brand of video converter, what power supply, gold plated connectors etc.

If you are a heavy arcade modder then you would know that $300 for one of these would be virtually losing money.

Not everyone has a VGA, I have a pretty nice HDTV and it has no VGA.

Component, S-Video, Composite allows virtually everyone to be able to connect this to any HDTV and SDTV. On top of that, if you want to use VGA, you can do that too.

Why would I include my labor times or part times in a FS thread? This isn't the tech forum.

Every part I used is the highest quality I can find. Stainless steel buttons, Nickel plated input, best controller ports, gold plated audio/video jacks, quality PSU (not knock off stuff), neobitz video encoder.

But don't worry, I will refrain from posting anything consolized on these forums ever again...
