FS: CNC cut Donkey Kong Control Panel Blank

Any chance you can add the black laminate along the bottom if requested?

If i can find the vinyl coated sign board then yes. I have looked for it but havent found any. If you know where to get it i'll get some. If its too expensive it will affect the price.

yeah they really should have a black laminate on them prior to cnc
also I think AudioMidiMan might still have 2' control ptanel tmolding pieces

I will throw in the t-molding so you dont have to buy little pieces and pay shipping.

I don't mind paying a slightly higher price if the laminate can be included. I'd be up for two or three of the CPs if you can do the laminate.

I ran some of these on my cnc router for some of my machines. I bought the birch ply with the black laminate applied. It was more expensive for sure. If you are running them with the black laminate, I'm in for 4 of them. I'd prefer not to run them again myself. Let me know what the cost difference would be.

Where did you get the laminated plywood?

We have a Phillips Plywood local to us. They stock laminated ply, furniture grade. Many hardwood suppliers carry pre-laminated plywood or can order it for you.

If you can't find the black laminated ply, just get vertical grade matte black Formica or Wilsonart laminate. Laminate the sheets before cutting.

This really wouldn't work well with the CNC machine. The glue would cause too many issues with the bits.

I have called several sign shops and hardwood suppliers. Most of them can get White Vinyl, but no one has found Black. Judging from most of the responses, it seems that everyone wants the black laminated wood. If I can't get it, is anyone still interested in the plain wood ones?

Yes. We can still always paint or laminate ourselves. We're talking about less than an inch of exposed surface once populated, paint really should suffice (and I'm anal!).

I ran some parts that I laminated. The glue does gum up the bits depending on what glue you use and how soon you run the parts after you laminate. I ended up babysitting the parts and added a pause in between the top cuts so I could clean the bit with acetone. Not very efficient but it worked.
