FS: Championship Sprint & Double Dragon - SF Bay Area

Yeah, it's tough to ship. Though the cab is solid, I don't think it's worth shipping.

I'd only be willing to pay shipping for a complete, working game in good condition. This one is complete and working, but fair condition. It would need restoration to look game room quality. This is more like bar/bowling alley quality.

Yeah, but games out in CA are a dime a dozen ;)

Haha, it's hit or miss here. Though, I haven't really been looking much lately. Well, whatever makes you happy. Despite the cab damage, the game plays great and I'm sure it would make you happy in the end.

Hopefully, you can get a better quote for shipping. Have you tried uShip.com? I know a few guys including myself have had good experiences.

Not uShip yet. Freightquote.com, C.H. Robinson and NAVL so far. Waiting on a few others. The big issue is paying for it to be palletized, banded and shrinkwrapped.

Some uship providers include that in their quote. When I had my red tent shipped from WA, they wrapped it at no extra cost.

You're keeping the SF2, which means you totally have your priorities correct in my book. ;)

Bump. Someone buy this guy's stuff.

Haha, thanks man. Yeah, SFII is a must-have for me. I know the game itself is really common, but to have it in an original HS-1 cab with all original art is not. Plus, it's pretty much my JAMMA cab as well as Hyperspin MAME (hopefully in the near future).

I actually have a couple of local guys interested in CS so far. We'll see if anyone picks it up this weekend. For those who were interested, here are a few more pictures. Just to note, these are high-quality, zoomed in shots. It's not as bad as it looks. :)

Did you see if RLEVIN could get you a better quote on shipping? He has offered to extend his shipping discounts to members here.

No, but I even had our freight carriers that we use for my company quote it and it's still right around $500. The issues are that it's coming from a residence on the west coast, needs to be palletized and cannot be stacked.

Good luck with the sale my man. Good to have priorities straight. You can always dive back in when things slow down. I've bowed out for a while several times.

Thanks John. Yeah I'm not too worried about it. I just know it will help in the end.

I just found out this week that he will be undergoing hospice care from here on out and he is now relying on a walker to get around. Rough months ahead for sure.

It definitely makes you appreciate the essential, simple things in life.

Sorry to hear that. If there's anything you need let me know. Prayers are with you guys.

Sale pending on CS.

Pic of bottom left side of CS where it's not fully attached. It looks like a previous owner tried to use some glue or something to hold it together which explains the white streaks you see.

Sweet. It will still be here most likely. It was one of my favorites as a kid too, but again, one of the games I've unfortunately decided to part with. It definitely holds a strong nostalgia value for many guys.

Championship Sprint sold. The most I've ever seen a man wrap an arcade cabinet. Mikebetz is a cool cat. Sad to see another game go, but as always, happy it's going to a good home. :)
